CS:GO desperately needs a curated community map playlist for official matchmaking. Simplest way to implement it, might be a single playlist (a single tile in the matchmaking menu) which puts you into a queue for a handful of valve-curated community maps that rotate every month or two. It would be really simple to implement and would allow everyone easily to play all these amazing maps on official servers.

Nice idea but a lot of people would rather play 4-5 same active duty maps and perfecting tactics on them as much as they can to become great for competitive play (including me here) than to play random mid-quality maps that will be gone in 5-6 months even before you can master it. P.S. Im not saying that all community maps are bad (Cache is the best example) but they arent around for too long to become perfect competitive maps and CSGO isnt like 1.6 or Source anymore, its all about competitive. In 1.6 I liked to play surf, deathrun, jail break and a lot of other custom gamemodes but Im playing only MM and Faceit in CSGO...

I can now rest happily knowing that I'll never have to complain about maps using the same teal and yellow lighting ever again. Being able to distinguish one level from another just by the color composition and lighting is a forgotten trait I've wanted to see included in the game for years. These maps are almost everything I could want from a map pool.

Icelander here, have been to said beach in question. When I saw basalt in the intro and saw the colored houses and roof styles I immediately went "Hey! That looks extremely Icelandic!" and was very pleasantly surprised! I have never seen Iceland depicted in a game before and this is a pretty spot on depiction of alot of the unique quirks of our geography and architecture

I'm so glad to have seen this competition existed! So many detailed, well-designed maps to be played on. I feel like, even if some maps don't make it to the finals, they should still be updated and maybe have a shift of game mode. de_graveyard is one such example, if it were a danger zone map, albeit larger than it currently is, it would be massive fun to play on.

I got out of CS:GO quite a while ago due to boredom with maps and their themes, but it's content like this that makes me still care about the game. Seeing the amount of obvious care end effort put into these maps by average people makes me appreciate them in a way unique to video games.

It's incredible how much the complexity of CSGO maps have increase from it's original release. Before it was just CSS maps in the most recent version of Source, now it looks just a couple of shaders away from looking like a Source 2 map. It's incredible that these are being made still with hammer.

I think I've finally pinned down why I like your video style so much! Many youtubers try to edit reactiongifs and memes into their videos tomake them more enjoyable.
