Standard toms sounds deeper and warmer

Shallow toms all day for me. I have the Tama starclassic hyperdrive shallow toms. Can’t go back to deeper traditional sized toms anymore. I love the feeling and sound of shallow toms. They still cut and get good low end from them and the tuning and response is so much quicker.

It's also nice to have the toms lower which shallow toms allow.

Have one of those . Don’t have the 14 “ Tom though. Kind of hard to deal with a 10,12 to 16 for me

I like either shallow or deeper toms. They both have their place. However when it comes to the 10" tom, I feel the 7" standard depth (or more shallow) sounds too thin. Gotta be an 8x10. JMHO. Great video!

what kind of hit hat is this one? sounds really nice

The hats I picked to use for this are the zildjian 14 inch K custom special dry FX top and k custom special dry bottom
