So, a team loaded with talented goal scorers by way of the Core-4 but has great difficulty in the third period to keep pucks out of their net needs more secondary scoring is perfectly logical.

They are top heavy and once the top guys dissappear their depth scoring is exposed. Defense is not this teams issue.

@@CanadianLoveKnot and all those moves last year didn't really change shit, Right shot D for Morgan is more important and there's no guarantee that'd we'd win this year anyway with another scoring forward. Bertuzzi and Domi need to pick it up. If it was so serious should have signed Perry without losing trade assets and build from there, there's more to gain anyway with Knies development.

I think the Leafs are almost there for a cup run! They just need a goalie, a couple forwards, 3 or 4 d-men, the core 4 not to drop from scoring next to nothing in playoffs, and then they'll be good to go. Oh.. and if they can do all that with a first round pick and may be a 5th or 6th round pick, hats off.
