We had snow early in my parts but only getting a little at a time it's been hard trying to make wood hauling trails, But we hard a little storm yesterday that give us a little 👍, Firewood for the cabin now :) Stay warm Happy holidays !

Living in Santa Barbara where it almost never snows has spoiled me to not worry about shoveling the snow. But I guess you guys like the 4 Seasons. Your place is looking very cozy and usable, daily. You need the outdoor TV to watch the hockey games from the hot tub, I bought a Canadian Tire cheapo flat screen and have had it up for 5 years, no issues. From Southern Ontario.

NB got a tad more snow than we did, eh? About 7 or 8 inches more! I know it makes life a bit more difficult. , but I have always loved the snow and Winter as a whole. Growing up I spent most of the Summer in our basement because my Dad wouldn’t have air conditioning, not even after he retired to Florida! But in the Winter, they couldn’t keep me indoors. I even went tent camping at -10F and loved every second of it. Looks like our Canadian snow bunny, Miss Ashley, is recovering well and Mr. Canada, Jeremy, is working on being a Vin Diesel look alike!😜 Love the island and all the rearrangement thus far. I just had hoped and prayed Winter would hold off for y’all long enough for Jeremy to get the skirting done. Ah well, with time. Hang in there, MBFers!

Here’s a tip, spray some WD40 on the snow shovel so the heavy wet snow slides off smoothly. Don’t forget to clean the snow off the wood pile. Wet wood don’t burn as well as dry, wet wood creates creosote too.

If you can try to keep the snow off of your hot tub the weight will really shorten the life of the lid and they can be a little pricey to replace

Wow!! You really got hit with the snow, lucky us only got about 4 inches then it started to rain and only about an inch of crustly snow now. Load up the wood as our next two days are going to be COLD!! Weather station says it is supposed to warm up next week though, so let's hope they are right. From Hillsborough.

You got blasted with the first real snow of the year. It was great that you had the tractor. When you do the canopy build it yourself. My daughter has to buy a new one every other spring because even the nice ones don’t hold up with the wind and snow load. She can’t build her own because of codes and nosy neighbors. It really stinks living in the burbs. We all keep saying we need to get together to buy a nice piece of land but something always happens because we all own houses and everything cost so much now even for diyers. It’s a dream we might never see. I wanted to do it when we were younger like you did but my husband isn’t one to take chances. I just feel that it’s ok now because we wouldn’t have gotten the grandkids that we have now. My kids laugh and say “mom you would have had grandkids they just wouldn’t have been these grandkids”. Banana hack.... Separate your bananas and lay them out on the table/counter so they're not touching. They won't turn brown so fast. Keep an eye on them though. They won't turn brown on the outside, but they'll continue to ripen on the inside and get mushy. Love the channel you guys. ❤
