I love Ziyi Zhang (Hu Li) in this movie. She plays a villain so well, rocks a red lipstick, and makes a great femme fatale. She was also great in Godzilla: King Of The Monsters as Dr. Ilene Chen and Ling Chen. One of my favorite comedic parts: Carter: Just tell me how the Triads gon' kill us. Lee: They will torture us for three days. Carter: I can handle that. Lee: Then they will cut off our eggrolls. Carter: Cut off our eggrolls? Hell no! Let's get the hell outta here! Side note: Michael Jackson watched this movie around the time he was planning out his short film for the song "You Rock My World" and contacted Chris Tucker for a guest starring role and Chris stated in interviews that Michael told him "I've seen your movie Rush Hour 2, you're kickin' with the wrong leg". 😆🤣☠

if i’m not mistaken Jackie Chan started his career as a stunt man, so him doing all his stunts himself is natural and makes for a better quality movie
@jasonondik600310 ай бұрын
He wasn't a stuntman as much as a stunt-extra. Stuntmen are doing a stunt in place of an actor, in the late 60s/early 70s, the martial arts stunts were most often performed by the actual actors, just as he does today. He worked as one of Bruce Lee's choreography group for Lee's last 2 films.

Fun Fact: When Chris Tucker say "Fun Gow" Right Now. "Fun Gow" means sleep in Cantonese. When Jackie Chan translates it's for comedy, not actual translations (It doesnt translate as Samurai Swords and shave their butts.). But Don Cheadle was actually speaking Cantonese which was very impressive and you can actually understand him

Zhang Ziyi is incredible and wildly underrated and underused as a whole in Hollywood. She's fuckin' AWESOME. Part of it is her own fault though, for perhaps being TOO picky in the roles she takes. She's only been in 5 American movies, despite LOADS of offers for her to be in all sorts of stuff. 🤷♂

Great reaction ! Jackie was 47 in Rush Hour 2 !) If you want badass oldschool Jackie Chan you should add Armour of God to your list of movies to watch. In this film Jackie Chan was just epic, stunts and fights are very good, and even one crazy car chase ! Jackie got his most serious trauma filming one of the stunts in this film, this head trauma almost cost him his life. Absolutely worth watching great film ! P.S. It also have a badass sequel too, Armour Of God 2 - Operation Condor. 😎

The bomb girl (the one with all the bombs not the one Chris Tucker said was the bomb) is Zhang Ziyi and is amazing! While I've seen very few movies that she's in, she's always great! People in the comments are already recommending all the great Jackie Chan movies XD

There are tons of high quality Jackie Chan films. Some of my favs are "Who Am I?", "Operation Condor", and hysterically funny "The Tuxedo" with unimpressed sidekick Jennifer Love Hewitt. Loved your reaction! So fun
@rogerrabbit511010 ай бұрын
I agree! I tend to like his Hong Kong movies much more than his American movies, as he has full control over his Hong Kong projects. “Operation Condor” is such a masterpiece in stunt work and choreography! Plus, it has very funny moments. It, along with Drunken Master 2, are my favorite. Unfortunately, many KZbinrs do not react to his non-American films, possibly due to a lack of knowledge or a disinterest of all non-American things (somewhat evident by how nearly all popular KZbin reaction channels react to the same exact movies from Hollywood). I hope this channel takes a chance and tries viewing movies that are lesser known from Hollywood! Also, I wanted to add…I love Chandra’s smile! Her reaction for “Mortal Kombat” was just so fun to watch when she became so giddy and excited 😂

"Who died, Lee?" "You!" "Detective Yu?" "Not Yu, you!" "Who?" "You!" "Who?" "Do you understand the words that are a-coming out of my mouth?" "Don't nobody understand the words that are comin' out of your mouth." Fun Fact: Theatrical movie debut of Cynthia Pinot. That's My Jackie Fact: Jackie Chan was sucker punched by one of his fans during filming, because the fan thought he would block the punch. Guerrilla Filmmaking Fact: The scene where Carter (Chris Tucker) and Lee (Jackie Chan) are running down the street naked in Hong Kong was an actual take. Production could not block the street off for the shoot. Location Location Fact: The part of the "Red Dragon" hotel was played by the Desert Inn in Las Vegas. The sign was changed and the lower half of the building was painted red for the filming of the movie. The hotel was closed at the time, so evidence of the transformation remained for a while. The Desert Inn was demolished on October 23, 2001. In Dog We Trust Fact: The counterfeit dollar bills used in the movie have "In Dog We Trust" printed on them. During the filming in Las Vegas, about $1 Billion in convincing prop money was blown up during a scene, but some bills escaped destruction and ended up in circulation. Some of the extras walked off the set with some of the fake cash and it eventually ended up in a few casinos. The situation went so out-of-control that production was briefly shut down when the FBI subjected the props department to an investigation to determine whether or not they violated the Counterfeit Deterrence Act of 1992.
