Fun fact! Having regular item drop on EPIC familiars actually increases your drop by 60%, compared to regular drop on RARE familiars giving 50%!

actually you could get 60% dr from rare and could get 50% dr from epic medium drop, it's just two different line and you can't tell from the text

Just as a note, from what I read, the monsters DEF correlates to the fuel bar. The higher the monsters DEF the longer it'll last before the fuel bar runs out. Leveling up the familiar will increase it's DEF (random amount each level, I think it was 1-X each level) :).

Also, from what I heard, more familiars you use at same time, LESS fuel is spend for keeping them alive.

I did my familiars wrong. I had 4 level 5s of the same type and couldn't rank them up because I thought I needed more level 5s of the same type. I ended up extracting them because I couldn't do anything with them. Wish I knew that before I seen this vid... Oh well.. Now I know =3

I think some badges aren't even obtainable without buying the booster packs. At least, that's what I've heard about the Darkness badge (Lotus)

Another thing to note is cernium and burnium will most likely have badges, so you won't need to do the stupid snow badge

Note on badges: some fam cards are unacquirable outside of rng booster packs. Notably, Beach badge has an unacquirable. So really just avoid all badges with a boss imo!

Currently, the Wings Badge (orbis) is only possible to get if you get lucky with the card packs. I've killed over 1500 Eliza over a few months, and she hasn't dropped. Nexon won't confirm or deny that she drops it still. I've asked multiple times, and I get the same generic message.

We need the fam resets in reboot. Theres only so many fam you can get of each mob and as you can't buy them, it's practically impossible to get anything decent after hours of grinding.

literal worst system in the entire game followed by SF somehow still booming items in 2024, bring back the goddamn Crusader Codex system that actually felt like you were collecting monsters. Familiars are by far the grindiest, most tedious system which is ALSO gated by severe RNG, but is near mandatory because of the disgustingly overpowered lines it gives, peak design!

I am not sure I understood, Familiars are like summon skills that just give you bonus stats when you summon them? duration? cooldown?

Basically yes, you summon them and the stats in their descriptions are what they apply when active. They have a set amount of time they can be out, it starts at 2000 and counts down every so often when they are out. You can refill the gauge in the familiar shop with coins you get from extracting fams you don't want

I believe the summon time also resets at daily reset, which is nice. You can have up to 3 summoned at a time but you need to unlock badges in order to have more slots. Hope that helps a little!

Yeah, but you don't really have to go out of your way to farm them. It's fairly easy to get 15% IED or fams with some drop rate from the common and rare cards you find from random mobs

you unlock the badge because its easy and it helps unlock the extra fam slot. youre not unlocking the badge specifically for +5 hp.
