I really do not like the idea of an archer slapping mobs with a cape. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like WA mains used the cape only because there was nothing better, not because we actually like it. I'm just hoping this is nowhere near the final version.

Personal first impressions based solely off this video as a WA main -- 1st job: Glad wind walk is still here, definitely would have missed it if it was gone. Appreciate the new interaction with WW/FJ now, pretty neat to be able to upjump/fj after ww. 2nd job: Not sure why we got old crossbowman piercing arrow with similar sound fx for 2nd job. Also got a similar skill to old Bowmaster skill Dragon's Breath for our other 2nd job skill, which just seems like a much better Piercing Arrow anyway lol. At least it's not bad. 3rd job: The mobbing skill in its current form sucks ass, way too small of a hitbox and I personally don't like that it's a close-range skill where you need to be in the middle of a mob as opposed to it being a projectile. Heavily disappointed to see Pinpoint Pierce make the cut; useless skill if not for its increased dmg effect which takes away from DPS anyway since you have to use the skill imo. 4th job: VERYYY happy to see Fairy Spiral become our 4th job mobbing skill. That's the skill we were using anyway so it getting the love and damage of a 4th job skill is huge, looks much better too. Hitbox on it can be improved slightly tho imo. SoH (hurricane) looks gorgeous, but we should seriously be able to walk while casting it by now... I can tell they don't want to make this change though because it might make WA training too efficient in some maps. Interesting to see Storm Bringer become a 4th job skill as opposed to a hyper skill, I always thought it made perfect sense as a hyper skill but this works for me too lol, frees up a hyper skill slot. Speaking of which, no idea what our new hyper skill does as it doesn't appear to be clearly visible on its impact on gameplay. Monsoon looks different. 5th job: Using big tornado now casts 2 of them. Clearly this is an attempt to increase WA's burst capability. Sad because I always dreamt of WA getting a "Wind Partner", wind version of shadow partner which would do a similar thing. Not only did Bowmaster's get something like this instead, but this double Howling Gale effect gives me a glimpse of what I always imagined lol. Overall, I give this remaster a generous 4/10. The only thing I feel like I'm taking away from this is Fairy Spiral is at least going to (hopefully) deal decent damage now as a 4th job skill, and Howling Gale does (assuming) twice the damage as before. Underwhelming, but perhaps I expected too much or am too hard to please at this point in my MapleStory career.

@@evang-f2845 To be honest, Spiraling Vortex will not be missed for me at all. It had next to zero usability in actual training maps, and was only ever a smidget viable after the vertical hit box was increased. The weird splash effect it had was insanely gimmicky as well. I will agree though that it was a pretty skill, it was based on the original Wind Archer's 3rd job skill back when they only went up to lv 120 😂

1. Majority of active buffs became passive (ABOUT DAMN TIME). 2. Spiraling Vortex (current 4th job mobbing skill) is replaced by the 2nd job skill “fairy spiral” (I mean I guess that’s okay. Def bigger hit box for sure. Majority of current wind archers still use fairy spiral to help with mobbing anyways.) 3. Sentient arrow got a big rework. Definitely more mobility with mobbing now. 4. You can launch 2 big tornados now instead of 1 it seems? Well, overall it’s good changes… kind of wished there was a completely new skill to replace spiraling vortex instead of just having the 2nd job skill replacing it. With my highest level classes being a dual blade and wind archer, I basically equate the magnitude of these changes to both classes similar lmao. Yea they got changed here and there but I just wish there was more to it.

Most of these buffs became passive prior to Ignition. Sylvan Aid becomes passive in Destiny for example.

so im maining a WA for a couple of years now and i love it so much! every day when doing my daily's i'm thinking this class is so amazing. but i wish they will improve some little things to make it perfect... im one of the few players who hate and never use the wip skill and prefers to max node sentient arrow cus i really think it is one of the better skills in the game! tthe grinding i'm able to do with this skill, i cant do with any other skill in the whole game!!!!! i lovveee itt!!!! so im playing and hoping that one day they will change: make you able to move using SOH. make a better 4 job mobbing skill. make you control the hurricans. and hope they wont remove sentient arrow!! and now i just want to cry! why nexon? he was on the edge of prefection! i though you are making them better! whyyy?? They should've made them play more around the crystal for mobbing, maybe something similar to Illium. Put the crystal down and attack it with Hurricane to proc all the projectile passives that seek out enemies on their own. Let them summon multiple and have the main skill reflect between all of them across the map, that way it makes sense to keep the Hurricane skill without mobility since you set up your crystals and then stand in place and attack one of them, and you can proc way more missiles since the crystal doesn't die from 0.02 seconds of channeling like monsters in maps

Cape skill is better to use in the long run, given that Spiraling Vortex has dogshit vertical range. I used cape from 200-260 for that reason.

They reworked tge dawn warrior to have a rift concept to the extent of giving them an op 5th job skill similar lotd with much much bigger hitbox. Gave blaze wizard a bind, a bossing/ mobbing mode. Smoothened out thunder breaker's clunky playstyle and they couldnt bother making idle whim toggle based?

WA main here: I love these changes. Everything is visually improved in my opinion and it seems to still play similarly which I like. It's funny how many people are saying they wished the class was changed more yet at the same time people are complaining about Dawn Warriors being changed too much. There's just no pleasing people. I don't understand why people even want drastic changes, the class is what it is. If someone wants a class to be so different then maybe play a different class all together.

Another WA main here: the changes are incredibly underwhelming. Putting the visuals aside, I have several main issues with the remaster. For one they just lazily swapped the 2nd and 4th job mobbing skills, when they could have retooled Spiraling Vortex to have a higher y-axis range or just given a new mobbing skill altogether. The change to Sentient Arrow also makes it nearly useless for training, as the old version was a lot more versatile in certain maps whereas the current version has almost no range. Song of Heaven still doesn't allow for mobility, keeping WA as the only hurricane-themed class without a mobile hurricane which would do wonders for certain bosses where small movements are necessary. Nexon also went back on their forward about Howling Gale's 3-stack effect, since they promised it to be 2 giant tornados but it does the equivalent of one giant + one small tornado. Howling Gale still tends to wander off wherever it feels like it and can't be controlled, and Vortex Sphere is still garbage against bosses that teleport a lot such as Damien, Will, and Verus Hilla. Lastly, bossing was nerfed against certain bosses like Damien, where the blue orbs allowed you to generate additional Trifling Wind arrows, and the new 140 hyper only marginally makes up for the nerf to Storm Bringer. As for Dawn Warrior, the main issues people have with it are the fact that it's still massively ping reliant, plus the concept of outer space being a massive stretch for a "Soul"-themed Warrior. The Sun and Moon worked since they focus on different types of light, but becoming a Space-themed Warrior that uses similar skills to Jett just ruins the theme of the class.

I was genuinely hoping they would rework the cape to be bigger and more flowing like the cape Phantom gets while using their main skill. That 3rd job mobbing skill looks like the hitbox should be bigger than it actually is. The animation looks much larger than the mobs that you actually reach. Also for the love of god, why don't they let us move during song of heaven?! I do really like that they made the cape mobbing skill an actual good 4th job mobbing skill now. Visuals of all skills look very clean too

I have never been more angry about Wind Archer 3rd job, they butcher 'Sentient Arrow' The most iconic archer skill in the game to a dumpster fire that has a triangle hit-box about the size of Demon Avenger 'Vitality Veil" AND it pushes mob away.

This remaster is actually such lazy and boring design that changes nothing. It doesn't fix the issue of WA's burst capabilities and the immovable hurricane with no extra benefit. Besides that, the theming is so incredibly lazy, just green all green, no extra purple like in trifling and they removed the blue theme in spiral vortex, its like someone spilled Fluro green all over the screen. Nothing changed in 5th job either, the skills look exactly the same with no visual changes, the double tornado is just lazy, Oh yes lets put 2 tornados instead of one, how clever.. Moving the 2nd job cape skill to 4th job is also just lazy, how is this a remaster if the class plays exactly the same still? Why not make a interesting mobbing skills to pair with the cape ability if you want to keep that in? Also an ARCHER using a CAPE as a MAIN skill? I wouldn't even consider this as a visual remake let alone a remaster. Some suggestions? 1. Burst, add a big hitting single target skill, maybe using the spiral vortex theme into a 5th job or hyper 2. Please just let wind archers move while using hurricane please 3. Why are ALL the 5th Job skills the same? No visual update? Its such an easy theme to create some cool looking abilities with (hot air cold air?) 4. Help my poor eyes and add some other color besides grass green please, blues purples, darker colours to balance the brightness 5. Add an actual mobbing skill that's more archer themed, even a cape isn't really wind themed either, its a piece of cloth 6. Maybe add something that works with the movement of wind archers, powered-up abilities the more you move maybe? Like creating stronger winds the more you move This is just a rant, and my two cents on my feelings, hopefully they add more things, but I'm not too optimistic and I'm not a ultra late game WA main so maybe I could be talking out my ass, but just my own personal feelings
