Chain Lightning did NOT get nerf. The animation made it looks like it got nerf. In the patch notes they even mentioned that they INCREASED Chain Lighting's chain range. I was so HYPED for this! but it's really just the same thing. What i find cool is all the Ice abilites. but once reach 4th job , two of the frost abilites has a CD ( Dragonhead thingy and Iceball). I really wanted something 4th job ICE mobbing ability without CD. But it seems we are still on the Chain Lighting spam. I wish the Remaster on I/L was Much better than this. Thanks for the Vid

The dragonhead thing you mentioned is a bind, and iirc, it's the 2nd longest bind in the game behind Kanna's

oh wtf, it’s been so long since I played I thought Ice Lightnings still had the fire summon Ifrit not an ice one (for those of you wondering why maple gave a fire summon to ice mages was to take advantage of the elemental difference, the ice mage would freeze the monster and ifrit would attack with fire which would increase the damage dealt by alot, it was vice versa for fire poisons who had an ice summon)

Chain lightning need a bigger bounce range. Lightning sphere should just be place in the area for x seconds instead of a channel. Bolt Barrage most of the damage is lost if the boss is not at the corner, change it attack animation so the bolt stick to the boss like Jupiter thunder. Just give mages stance :(

Needing the boss to be on the corner was really bad for any consistency on bosses.

They've already changed the mechanics on Bolt barrage, now it only take roughly 3hits to deal most of the damage

Chain lighting seems nerf to me. Other skill looking well.

Skill description is the exact same. When hitting an enemy it only makes 1 sound per enemy tho which might be why it feels nerfed? (I think it made 3 hit sounds per enemy before)

Finally. The ugly fire/ice summons have a new skin. TBH the original version is better then current version, they just change it to an ugly cartoon style. Anyway, happy to see they become Realistic style again.

As an I/L main I reallt like the playstyle and hoped it wouldn't change much. I was hoping for some reworked/buffed numbers as well as a better chain lightning. Hopefully some of these get ironed out before full release.

I was hoping you could show just how much longer Chain Lightning is and if it still favors a downward angle. It looks almost unchanged from your demo.

That's because it IS unchanged, sadly. Like pretty every other skills from most explorer, the animations just make the hitbox more clear I thought we'd get Reflection but we're just filthy Explorers :(

@@x3TheAran59 please do, and if so, can you upload it for us to see? and please, can you exclude other skills like teleport damage, thunder storm, elquines, etc. just chain lightning since it can be hard to see with so many other skills in the mix as well. many thanks!
