lol probably but I am a free maplestory player and I pretty much get what I need from events and such. I have a level 180 demon slayer will 400,000 damage already and thats with low level equipts just the 9th aniversery set and some accesories so once I get a better set am sure the damage will get much better and then I can start scrolling and cubing lol but 500 ya thats a little out of my price range lol

As for the Tempest and Pinnacle ring I feel like upgrading them to better rings wouldn't be worth it for the money I put in. Definitely will upgrade later in maple life. The reinforced ring I plan on re-scrolling. Weapon, Secondary, Emblem, and Badge. a. Weapon: SW Knife (WATT 349, LUK+99) (UNI 30%boss, 7%ATT, CRIT RATE 8%) b. Secondary: SW Kattara: (WATT 162, LUK24) (UNI 20% BOSS, 7% TOTALDMG) c. Emblem: Tower of OZ expert: 30% boss, 30% ignore def, % total damage. d. Ghost ship badge: UNI pot no good potential. For my weapon and secondary I'm fine with it any further upgrades wouldn't be worth the money. Unless it's cubing which I think the potentials are fine at the moment besides other items need cubing priority. The Emblem is temporary at the moment but the stats are so good I think it should be one of the last things I upgrade. Current trying to get 9%LUK+ on the badge. Reinforced Gollux set a. Ring mentioned above b. Earring: (UNI 15%) (2% neb) (WATT 26, ALLSTAT 55) c. Belt: (UNI 18%) (2%NEB) (WATT 28, ALLSTAT 64) d. Pendant: (UNI 6%, 6%) (2% NEB) (WATT +11, ALLSTAT +57) The gollux equipment are badly scrolled at the moment. I'm trying to do hard gollux at the moment which gives me 20coins/day. The real problem comes from the equipment safety scrolls. I'm not sure where to get them. The Reward shop has 2 available monthly but I don't make enough to get that and cubes. Root Abyss Set a. Top: (UNI 9%luk) (WATT 2, LUK+76) b. Hat: (UNI 15%) (NEB 2%) (WATT 6, +108LUK) c. Bottom: (UNI 15%) (NEB 2%) (+77LUK, WATT 2) Content. I think I just need to cube the TOP for 12%luk and put a 2% neb on it although that's further down on my list of priorities. Pocket item, codex, eye, face, gloves, heart, shoes, shoulder, and cape. a. Red Scarlet handkerchief: (WATT 7, ALLSTAT 7) b. Crusader codex Leafe Set: 30% DEF ignore, +1 all skill evel c. SW eyeglasses: 7% luk d. SW Tattoo: 7%luk e. White work gloves with SE Neb f. Heart 34 attack g. Shoes: Generic thief shoes (UNI 9% ) h. Shoulder: Tempest epaulet (EPIC 6%) i. Cape: Tyrant 2 star 2 lined I'm not sure if the pocket item. Leafe set for the crusader codex seems to be the best at the moment. Heart I need to upgrade later right now it's not worth the moment. SW Glasses and tattoo need to be upgraded to 17%luk. Not sure when to do it though. SE Nebs are needed right now for me to get a high critical chance. The white glove is fine. The shoulder can wait to be replaced I think. The shoes will be upgraded to Tyrant shoes later. What I want to do is get my range high enough so I can solo hard magnus for the coins. The Tyrant cape will be epic potted and cubed for UNIQUE. Not sure where it falls in my list of priorities. C. Link skills and character cards a. Because I'm a dual blade I need no cool down FINAL CUT. So my character cards are Mechanic S, Mercedes S, and Beast tamer for 3% boss damage. I have 32% BUFF duration inner ability. b. I have DA, DS, Mercedes, Xenon, Beast tamer, and Phantom currently lv70. I will be getting Kanna once when get released, training phantom to lv120, and making a Luminous. D. Daily Incomes a. I'm not a merchant anymore and to be honest Maple has been more enjoyable for me. Although I do plan on merchanting in late game where I'm probably at 1.5m range for that last 500k. b. Reward points. I get 550-600 Reward points daily. I'm not sure what Star Planet is but it seems not worth it or I'm doing it wrong. c. Gollux: Roughly 20 coins a day as soon as I master hard gollux. d. Cubes from boss drops and Commerci. Roughly 1-2 cubes daily. What I think my priorities are at the moment. Correct me if I'm wrong. Cubing my badge for at least 9% LUK. Cubing my tyrant cape to UNI pot and at least 9% LUK. Re-scrolling Gollux gear. Waiting to get a DARK CRITICAL RING. Getting a %ATT EMBLEM text What is the minimum damage I need to do to Hell Gollux and Hard Magnus? (Minimum damage like 15m PB or something). Does PB and Von loen need a party to enter? I feel like I should have a lot more range. What would I need to upgrade and in what order that would benefit me the most right now? What does equipment for a 750k, 1m, and 1.5m range look like stat wise? Am I missing something in my dailies?

@Eric Im not saying finish all your gear, then make/buy a weapon. Im saying allow yourself to plan out the mesos for all the others beforehand and use everything left on your weapon. This is to make sure you have your slots filled while still getting the best weapon you can. You have to look around for good deals on weapons, people quit everyday and want to get rid of gear. Yes a primed leg/leg/neb'd weapon is gonna be a lot of money. But a simple unique 15% traced should be in a 5b-10b range. I personally got a perfected claw uniq/uniq/neb'd for 7b from a guildie.

Saged Salamance Here is a list of my favorite/most fun classes for each job type: Mage: Blaze Wizard (good dmg, fun, mobile) Lumi (okay dmg, fun, mobile) Warrior: Zero (great dmg, fun) Archer: Wild Hunter (great dmg, dex gear is cheap) Pirate: Shade (good dmg, great for helping with boss runs, fun) Thief: Night Lord (great dmg, fun, showdown op) Xenon (good dmg, fun) Those are any of the classes I would personally play if I wasn't a NL. But yeah I highly recommend Blaze Wizard, the only reason I quit mine is because I quit ms in general at that time.

b0shfire1219 If you have the extra money, I would say grab the 3.5b 21% str. While the 17%str are pretty cheap, the 4% upgrade is like an all stats neb being on it. And 4% in nebs are 2b+ in every server so its basically cheaper than nebing it. But if you are on a strict budget, the cheap 17%str ones are a great buy.

Hi, I quit playing MS years ago when cubes and those sort of stuff became necessary, when CS slots were limited to specific characters, and Nexon was really just an awful greedy company. I feel sort of dumb asking this, but are your cost estimates for un-scrolled/cubed/etc. equipment or scrolled, starred, or whatever-ed equipment? Towards the end of the video, you say you've made most of the gear yourself... The last time I played MS you needed to spend lots of real money on NX to buy cubes; is there any way to circumvent this? Thanks. Fill those slots up, and since you have so much extra mesos, you can probably afford a couple pre-cubes items if you find cheap ones. I would just 15% spell trace the weapon and wait for this summers miracle time to rank it up with cubes :)

I'm always spending so much time farming item crystals and stuff in the game on unfounded characters, and spending hours just to make 100 mil at the time.... honestsly I think Im finally gonna just drop 300$ on the game make a half decent character and start being able to actually play the late content and get really Exp at harder maps. I feel that as you've mainly played on Scania and Bera, you don't know much of the much more inflated market of other worlds with some items like nebs going for sometimes 2x the price in your world. I think you should include that aspect as ratios of money spent within worlds greatly alter as a claw like that for you in Bera might be 11bil+ in other worlds.

Alex Terison I was a leading member of Renegades from its release to december of 2013. My advice to anyone trying to fund efficiently is to not play in those kinds of worlds. That's all there really is to it. If you are persistent about staying in a smaller world, then I'd say the coin has two sides, with inflated prices comes easier/more money to be made in the market. I made TONS of money in the renegades market at points making and selling gear because of the inflated prices.

If you 70% or 30% all your gear. Is it still worth to 15% just your weapon since it gives the most damage ? Lets say if my total funding will be about, 40bil. Newbcake if you have a shit ton of %atk, then in the end icoging and return scrolling bad rolls for 30 atk + is better, but thats way more expensive than 30%, and 30% is very very good.

mochi mooo That's rather hard to calculate... if you go during fever time you would fail about half the 30%s, which totals to 16 slots (on top, bot and hat total), 10 clean slates per slot = 160 clean slates on your first draft. Out of the 16 regained slots you would technically fail half again, so another 80 clean slates for next draft and so on... this is all pretty theoretical and doesn't account for 50% hammer fails, overall I'd say 6~12bil, depending on clean slate prices in your world, and you're set, though it usualy shouldn't take more than half of that

estrojin1 You set realistic short term goals one after another. Also too much playing in a period of time can make you bored too. Take short breaks away from the game like a week off every month, or not playing everyday. Those are the things I do to keep from wanting to quit :)

Lyjin I see some people who sell for 50m/100m per hour. If you are in a populated server you could probably get away with 100m+, and enough to 70% spell trace your cra and get the clean items for your slots like tyrant cape and boots.

+VintageNostalgia you scroll it yourself. You scroll it normally until you fail 3 times, innocence it, and restart. Do it like that until you only fail 2 of them and then cs the last two slots.

I think the current state of Maplestory, apart from the Reboot server, is a complete joke, and is entirely imbalanced when it comes to how much paying for the game actually effects your characters power. You can't say you can progress through this game with no funding, because regardless of how good you are, someone that dumped 500 dollars into the cash shop is going to be years ahead of you. There are so many things in the game that shouldn't have ever been introduced, like link skills or character cards.

The only way to progress is to buy carries, I don't know why the hell people sell carries on reboot because all boss carries are free on regular servers.

I really doubt you'll be even close to 800k range with 25b. I've spent around 7-10 bil on my lvl 187 lumi and I'm still around 150-200k range with full reinforced gollux set, fully scrolled RA set, tyrant cape and various 3% int equips All star enhanced. I have around 90% boss dmg and like 40-50% int. I'm not sure if I'm doing anything wrong (maybe I should have focused on cubing my secondary and emblem) but I still feel like my range is a little low despite my funding. Should I be focusing less on getting %int?

loonaticaaron Your weapon, 2ndary, and emblem pots give you the majority of your range. But no getting decent %int on all your gear is important, but something you can do for free. use event/shop epic pots on all your gear over time, and use boss drop cubes and reward cubes to tier them up and try for 9%-15% on each item. Every single one of my non weapon items is unique with at least a 12%luk roll just from using this method.

loonaticaaron My Battle Mage is at 320k range with like 5 bil spent at most... just farm everything yourself, and I haven't even cubed my weapon 2ndary and emblem yet... the only scrolled RA item I have is my hat. I have not a single "finished" item, how could you possibly be at 150 ~ 200k range? Have you done all your link skills yet? Link skills and character cards are pretty important, and free, parts to get your damage started off

I'm actually around 300k range now. My range was low before because I focused my funding on cubing for %int. But once that was done, I bought some other things like tyrants, secondary, made some link skills, and my range pretty much snowballed from there. I guess it is possible to get 800k range with 25b depending on what you focus on first. My range was low in the beginning because i focused on getting %int first.

Herman Manly Also, you're a battle mage, battle mages have incredibly high natural range because of their advanced dark aura. Not to mention, lumi's have very low base range. Overall, i've spent about $200 on the game and i have ~300k range with 82% pdr and 192% boss. My only link skills are kanna, DA, and phantom, i also have +18 atk from blessing of the fairy. this is a fairly new character (less than 1 month old). It's true that I didn't fund myself very efficiently (like i said, i started by cubing for % int). But since most of those are done (for now), every little funding i get tends to fluctuate my range a whole lot. I'm still pretty sure you can't get 800k range with 25b on a clean character unless you're buying all pre-made equips for extremely cheap. But i definitely could have gotten higher range if i allocated my funding differently.
