MapleStory Leveling And Progression Guide | Reboot | GMS

Over the years maplestory has added a lot of systems maps and monsters to the game. Which might make it difficult to know what exactly to focus on
So to help the maplers who are having that issue we are going to train a character to level 200 and I will show you how you can set yourself up for success! By the end of this video we will have set our character up to continue the midgame and start progressing towards the midgame

Another tip in reboot is to save stack of enemy loot and use your snail smart and dismiss it when not needed. You can make a 5 hour pet last 5 months.

@@malcolmlim4597 Think he means, save all the loot on the floor, then when you're ready/feel like it, pick it all up, then dismiss your pet and go back to grinding in whatever area you're in, especially useful for F2P players who want their free snail to last as long as possible.

Honestly kind of prefer it this way? The level is just a number (to an extent) - most importantly you finally have a solid kit to work with, and you can focus on gearing instead.

@@Zyphent well then its just like it was in 2007... there was a time when tauramaces were the hardest monsters in the game at level 71 and the highest level who was level 93 got barely any xp. There was 0 chance they'd be able to get 200 back then. When 300 came out odium didn't even exist and hardest mobs were barely level 270

An important note to make about the blockbusters is that you absolutely should do the lomien ones regardless of whether or not it is your main. Once you do them it is completed server wide, so all new characters won't have to do it. Also, specifically for the Damien one (Heros Of Maple), you can skip acts 1-3 and just do act 4 for completion.

Just that bit about “new” characters - does that apply to all current chars too, so you do the blockbuster on ONE char and you never need to do again on ANY (same world and/or acc)? If so, you only get any rewards once, on the one char you done it on?

after you reach 190 you can also train at fox valley very similar to future perion but almost no one goes there so you have free maps with 100% burn almost every time you will need a good amount of pots tho because they hit harder than future perion monsters Also i suggest to join a guild can be a normal guild or a mule guild they will give you free stat wich can be very useful to train

Anybody watching this guide in 2022 should consider the theme dungeons as doing all 4 can put your character into the 70s. The monsters levels scale to 59 and the quests continue to give great exp into the mid 70s.

Once you get the link skill mules to 120 it gets a lot easier. I would suggest Evan, Aran, Mercedes. Just get them to 120 for your link skill and it'll make leveling your main much quicker and enjoyable. Plus you can collect some meso in the meantime. Good luck! I had a question about gollux. When I tried beating it around level 190, but after beating/disabling all of its body parts, I did barely anything to the head. I was doing no damage, barely scratching its health bar. Did the boss get changed?

Yes, it did. It has changed to a lot harder state.

Couple things I'd like to point out. Haven and Dark World Tree quests for the absolab equips are weeklies, not dailies. And if you're anywhere near serious with the class you're playing, absolab set is not really a "might be useful" thing. The base (5) set is a 100% must get weapon, shoulder from dark world tree, glove cape and boots from haven. Of course you will need to defeat lotus and damien to get this set, but there's a lot of carries and parties to kill those bosses.

yeah a definite must. go from pensalir gear and transfer hammer to lvl 150 fodder items then transfer to absolab gear. lvl 150 shoulders and gloves can be found from hard rammaru or i think you can spend magnus coins for shoes and gloves.. i think. And you can use enraged zak cape for the cape.

So do you not have to make a kanna from the start and just farm at 220+ zones for mesos for other classes?

Many people make a farm Kanna for the sole purpose of meso farming, but also many - like myself - don't like Kanna and don't want to put so much effort to bring one to lvl 220 + gear everything to legendary to be able to farm. Instead, pick a main you *enjoy* playing and once you reach 5th job, get as much %meso gear on this character. You can meso farm with every character, though some get a bit more per hour and obviously Kanna gets the most, that's why it's such a popular class. Do daily Maple Tour and Ursus during happy hour if possible, use that money you get over a few weeks to make meso gear. You will be missing a bit of damage at first, but it will pay off real quick. TL;DR: No, you don't have to make a farming Kanna when you don't enjoy it or don't have the time. You can farm meso on every character, though a bit less effective.

Just found out from my guild I joined yesterday that there is compensation that ends tomorrow that gives a ton of good shit including an arcane weapon and a ton of free levels post 200. It ends tomorrow so talk to (I think) maple admin and click the gifts option.

Fast ? I feel like someone aint got past 230. Thats the whole point if the game tho , picking a clas and optimizing your rotation for him. Cant say every class feels the same as most of thrm feel bery different. Ofcourse if yiur just mindlesly grinding without utilizing class skills properly it will feel repetetive , however , if you optimize every place yiu trsin at and try ti find that perfect rotation on each map fir whatever clas yoire playing you will griw to realise that its not the same. And i mean cmon , you are playing a grinder MMO , thats like the whole point.

Inner ability is not worth to reroll to legendary with IA points, just use the circulators from cashshop for mesos. The boss crystals are 6x im pretty sure

For example, if you say I should do Maple Tour twice a day, I have absolutely no clue what Maple Tour is or where it can be done. Would love to follow more but I just don't know what most things are. I am just so lost watching this video, the highest I ever leveled a character to was 135, and that along with a couple of other classes that I had around 120 took me pretty much all of high school to get. But now it's recommended that I level *FIVE* classes to 120 before I even start my main? I quit playing in like 2011/2012, so basically everything here is beyond my comprehension. I've watched a lot of videos on MS over the past couple of days and I still have no idea what a legion even is, lol

All maplestory youtubers can't all be the same. Then that's not fun. They all play the game for different reasons and make different types of content. Some are hardcore endgame players, some are lighthearted and casual, some are informational, some are a mix of those things. I like that there are a variety.

Depends what legion/links and how many exp coupons you have. An 'average' player would have access to the main exp links and access to some exp coupons, with these it easily be done in a week or so, this includes training for around 2 hours per day though

You can skip a lot of the quests he mentions if you're making mules for legion and links. But if you're working on your first character or your main, then it'll take longer since you should do all the quests (or most of) that he mentions.

In all honesty it seems near impossible to play this game without a Tera burning event that gives gear. From level 10-120 there is practically no way to get a weapon drop for certain, because of that it takes so long to train 😔 I try so hard to get back into this game but it seems no matter what I do it's just a painful experience

Once I got to 200 I learned the hard way that you have to make other characters to boost your stats. These arcane monsters are really tanky and at lv 203 my pathfinder is barely at 300k in the damage stat. It's ridiculous lmao
