MapleStory - Verus Hilla/VHilla Guide for DUMMIES (Detailed Guide)

Hey guys, I'm going to do a bossing series for DUMMIES - here is the first one I'm uploading - Verus Hilla!
Please keep in mind:
You need 900 AF (Arcane Force) to deal 100% damage to her.
10% extra damage if your AF is 990-1169...
30% more damage if your AF is at 1170-1349...
...and 50% more damage if your AF is at 1350 or more!
So start doing those Arcane River dailies!
Skills you should take:
Erda Nova (if your main does NOT have a class bind)
Fatal Strike I Node (take this for free damage - Auto Recovery does not work, any healing is blocked in this fight.)
Blink node - remember to hold this midair to "float", you can also slowly move around midair. Press blink once (don't hold) to randomly teleport around the map - this can be helpful for avoiding attacks/poison - but again this is RNG so use this at your OWN RISK!
You should take OFF Rope Lift, there are no platforms to jump on. The map you fight her on is just a flat landscape with no floating terrain.
IMO, for beginners - she's extremely hard to pick up. Remember, hard mode = you must clear this alone/with party to get the etc. drop for black mage entry ticket (it's called Shadow of Annihilation). So yes, you HAVE to fight this boss if you want to liberate and get that sexy Genesis Wep! You cannot avoid her.
NORMAL does NOT drop the BM entry ticket. Only HARD!
It's good to practice this ASAP if you plan to liberate, you will thank yourself later! This fight is extremely challenging and I think it will teach any hardcore mapler to use their hands more strategically.
And you have to fight her at 75% HP for the final liberation quest in order to receive your Genesis Weapon.

Appreciate the guide as there are none, but why don’t you prerecord the boss fight and talk over the recording? This guide is all over the place because you’re focusing on the boss and trying to explain and in the end nothing is explained well other than the pause slides

Disagree tbh, this is more organic, and is full so gives a better picture of how the fight can go and how to deal with shit happening 'on the fly.' It's good to have variation, other guides will do what you are saying, It's good to have both.

For those that have no healing fams on Reboot. Cleanse often and get hit by strings if you're at 60% hp or lower. The hardest hitting attack is Green/Purple which does 50% to you. Cleansing with altars will full heal you. Fighting her at the center of the map essentially makes her a Hellux head because now you can just get behind her everytime she turns around to avoid Blue. This also opens up both sides of her for Green and Purple. Classes that can TP midair (I think it's every Mage now) can TP downwards whenever she gets you with Blue to just negate her knockback.

32:43 You should not die from Final cut right? I know the erda buffs has hp costs but those won't let you use it if your hp was too low.

I tried hard vhilla and hilla in general for the first time yesterday excluding few minutes in practice and got to 4% as the 2nd last person standing, but for some reason had 2 red skulls/3, there was no refresh altar and then i just randomly get hit once, when i was at 1 hp. Before that i thought it's always 3 candles that need to appear for altar to spawn, but apparently there's many more? Maybe it's a party thing
