I do think Vincent/Yuffie/Cid will be in another DLC. I think they are gonna incorporate the Dirge of Cerberus stuff that way like they did in Intermission.

Yuffie is already playable in the base game (as is Cait Sith), but it’s possible Vincent and Cid will be playable DLC later on. I think Nomura implicitly suggested that Vincent and Cid won’t be playable in the game, though. They’ll be like Red XIII in Remake.

@@BareBandSubscription What I’m saying is the Dirge crew will be part of the intermission side story. I feel like that may be continued in that style of DLC. I have a sneaking suspicion that Dirge and Advent Children are hiding in plain sight as a smoking gun for all of the timeline shenanigans.

Funnily enough some comments from Nomura sort of suggest Vincent/Cid might not be playable in the main game. Kind of doubt it for Cid but might be the case for Vincent. Could follow Yuffie as an optional character that has their own standalone DLC then they are fully playable with everyone else in the third game. Obviously I hope that isn't the case, especially if he joins you like Red XIII in Remake but he isn't controllable. That's too much of a tease. I would prefer it if he basically meets you but goes off on his own. We then get to play as him as DLC, know more about him, his personality, background and current situation, then he joins the party later makes more sense. He's probably the most standalone character that is extremely popular and would easily sell DLC and have such unique gameplay to everyone else that it would likely be perfect for DLC. Certainly more than Cid or Cait Sith would be when he has his own journey to go on.
