Yes! That is wonderful. Please please do a tutorial on how to make such a project interactive. I am the show director for a charity Christmas display and would absolutely love to offer interactive projection-mapping.

Holla King Cave. The fracturing is done in Cinema 4d with a plug-in called Xbreaker, I think there's another one, with a few more features called Thrausi. The boxes are just from a local packaging manufacturing company. Thanks for getting in touch.

Does Resolume have an option for changing vids via a key press ? how did the makey makey changed created the interaction ?

Yup, you can map any clip to be queued by pressing keyboard keys in Resolume. The boxes have tin foil on them that's connected to the Makey Makey.

Hi, amazing project! I'm trying to make "this kind" with some friends from my Art School. A mapping and a sound playing when a bouton is pressed (I guess your project is done on this model). Our idea is pretty similar with yours. But we have no idea to make it work! We were thinking about using TouchDesigner for the mapping and Makeymakey, but we don't kow how to make the link between them! If you can help us thank you :)

Hi Céline , I've not used TouchDesigner so I really can't be much help for you on that. Setting up the MakeyMakey to control Resolume is super easy though, it just comes in as a keyboard button, which can trigger a clip no problem. Have you seen this video to explain how I achieved the projection mapping [and some cool audio-response tips too] kzbin.info/www/bejne/boGxoWeuo7yDi6s&

Cheers man, I might make a tut about it in the new year. For now, just google 'Makey Makey' to see how I'm triggering the clips.

Really, really nice! A tutorial would be very welcomed By the way, is there a way to export the resolume outcome as a video? For example, I simulate the projection on resolume and export as a video so I don't need resolume to see the projection anymore

sevenperks Cheers. I'll be honest, a full tutorial on this whole process is pretty unlikely. I've covered this exact mapping shape though, in the Tutorial (5) Castle Reactor. The clips were made in C4D with Xbreaker and using a makey makey is pretty self explanatory. You're right, It would be very useful to be able to have a simple way of exporting the mapped output wouldn't it? I can't imagine Resolume would go out of their way to build it into their software, as that would mean you wouldn't need their product anymore! I think you could probably try and replicate the same mapping shape in After Effects, then export that, but I've not got round to trying that.

vjfit You're right, of course. It wouldn't make sense, would it? I'll probably end out with After Effects (and a lot more work, I suppose). I see no other way Thanks for the honesty and attention, by the way, your videos have been helping me a lot!
