Mapping w/ DroneDeploy and Skydio 2 - Nine Ten Drones

I am curious, since the drone can avoid objects, what would happen if you flew at 10 feet or lower with dronedeploy? Would it find a way around objects to complete the missions?

I have the same question. I have some projects popping up that would require obstacle avoidance and I don't currently have the ability to support that with our fleet.

The drone will avoid obstacles while operating, however this could create gaps within your final products if your flying low and the obstacle is of substantial size

Is there any additional software required to use Drone Deploy with Skydio 2 to create 2d and 3d scans ?

You will need to have a trial or paid subscription of DroneDeploy in order to process your imagery into 2d maps and 3D models

@@NineTenDrones so there is no need to pay additional money for skydio's 3d scan/skydio cloud etc?. It is quite expensive from what I understand.

@@RevvedUpXC 3d scan is much more advanced /autonomous than DD , for aerial they both do the job though. Depends on the output model you need which one to use i would say. Skydio cloud has nothing to do with 3D modeling.

In order to fly the Skydio 2 on DroneDeploy missions you must have the DroneDeploy app downloaded to your mobile device/phone

I'm using Android, I could 9nly find in the app store, Drone Deploy for DJI drones. Is there supposed to be a separate app to allow Skydio and Drone Deploy to work together or is that the app I'm supposed to use, just ignore the fact it has DJI in it's title?

My understanding is Skydio only works with Drone Deploy with Apple right now. I bought a used iPhone to test the Skydio Drone Deploy

@@rog3775 I just downloaded the Drone Deploy app 2 days ago for my Android, and in the pick list it does have Skydio 2 in it. I haven't flown with it yet, but it is there.
