his is just like the Parrot drone. What's interesting is that Parrot abandoned consumer drones and created the Anafi America drone, and then Skydio abandoned consumer drones and what they created is eerily similar to the Anafi drone, even though they had developed a completely different drone before.

Dji not only needs better tracking and obstacle avoidance. They also need to get rid of their zone restriction and be able to fly using phone only. I don't see any of that happening anytime soon. Skydio was really the best option for this@@lloydslichenmyer

I have the Mini 3 first, and found out about the 4 and now have both. Loving the avoidance, and really the light that I tried even in midday because it helped me keep visual contact even with overhead cloud background, lowlight, is amazing! My neighbor thought we had a helicopter over head because the green flashing position lights and light together was ominous! Great post, and MAN you go fast with info! Great job!

The company is officially now part of the military-industrial-complex and should be boycotted. They probably deliver directly to the israeli terrororganization IDF involved in genocide in Gaza. By contrast DJI is commercial and does not supply drones for military purposees and has loudly and clearly warned against military use of their drones.

Been looking for drones, heard Skydio is an American company. OK, but they do not sell to consumers?????? So the govt wants to ban DJI drones, or probably any drones made by Chinese companies, the American companies do not sell to consumers. So where or what is one to do? I wanted to try to get the Skydio +2, but you go to the site and it is like you're applying for a business loan.

Looks cool. I have been getting into bridge inspection with a mavic 3E and I really wish the camera could look straight up. But we also want to use it for mapping and at the time the 3E seemed overall superior to what skydio offered. I hope they are able to step up and offer a legit competitor.

After flying this drone, I find it lacking. Not able to fly at night despite the claims. The x10 doesn’t “zoom” it just moves the drone closer to what you’re trying to read. That’s like me saying I can dunk and I lower the hoop down to to my height. Flys only at 10mph and lost connection at 1500ft, anyhow for 20+k seems like it should do more

Glad to see that the expansion interface is USB C and confirmation that they'll have 3rd party support/sdk/api. Also cool that there is at least an option of swapping cameras, door's open for a good cine camera down the road. Does it still have all the tracking skills?

Parrot has basically left the non-enterprise market as well... and unfortunately... never really liked their drones much. Maybe in a year, might upgrade to this. Currently have a Skydio 2 and Evo II 640T. Combined, have all the capabilities I want, but would rather have it in a single package.

Regardless of skydio's autonomous flight, they still got whooped in the consumer market by DJI! A successful product in the consumer market, will always beat a drone enterprise contract. I also read that skydio has lobbyists in congress, lobbying to make things difficult for DJI.....lame. DJI was here in the beginning, they'll be here in the end..... long after skydio!

i use a Skydio X10 at Work and its Terrible The gimbals and controller look and feel like a toy and the 5ghz connection is very weak. unable to fly more than a few hundred feet away before it looses signal. Skydio Customer support is terrible with numerouse un answered emails.. American made drones is way behind the curve...
