This movie can't be that bad... Alright, I will have tea with my sleep-paralysis demon tonight and thank them for not killing me

One of the good things that comes with living in the boring dimension, ours. No magic, no powers, no ability's, and no ghosts. Tho, if I could have magic to fight the ghosts, I would take the risk.

I hve been experiencing sleep paralysis regularly. Im so used to it now. Most of the time its just the normal paralysis from time tp time yes i see shadows sometimes just one or two sometimes close and far. Sometimes they make sounds and sometimes i feel them breathing so close. The scariest by far was when i was able to see this figure smiling i know its smiling because i can see its teeth imagine a face no eyes nose just mouth smiling. Im so used to it that i can even feel when it will start. I am cathplic so i just pray and after praying its over. If i dont pray it will take longer and ill get a really bad dream afterwards. Im trying to experiment and find ways to control and trigger this and control it for me to be able to dreamwalk

Well there is no solution. A human can't stay awake for the maximum, 5 days. So, he, they just have 2 choice, yes, or... Yes. Yes to d13 of course. The difference is the time... So, mara will probably loose cus d3ad will take 1st😅 but fate never late

Real sleep paralysis demons don't look like they do in this movie. If there is no/low light in the room, they will mostly appear as a shadow or black mass. But, if you are unlucky enough to see one in daytime, you will see they are actually "black and white." They don't "reflect" light, rather they appear to only ABSORB IT. On top of that, they don't have "mass" as we know it. They look VERY SIMILAR to the demon girl from "The Ring."

Your analysis of the movie's flawed logic is overlooking a very crucial factor. This isn't a dramatization of the concept of sleep paralysis. It's inspired by old folklore of the being known as Mara, who does in fact haunt people in their sleep, sitting on their chest and causing them terror. The concept of sleep paralysis was just co-opted as a way to flush out the story and make the possibility of Mara's existence within the plot a point of debate for the characters in the movie.

@@Inferno65 I wasn't insinuating the movies logic was flawed. I have personally been tormented by "Mara," or the "night hag." I saw her, 5 feet away from my FACE, in broad daylight. People just (generally) label her a "sleep paralysis demon." And, write it off. I don't expect you to believe me. Hell, it happened to ME, and I honestly still have a very hard time believing it. I rationalize my experience until it begins to feel like cowardice. Then, I'm stuck at where it all began: Simply not knowing anything for certain.

@@mycommentpwnz You are literally the first person I've _ever_ seen make that association. The movie wasn't implying that she worked as a sleep paralysis Demon. It was her using her powers to paralyze someone in a semi-unconscious state, and the other characters were misinterpreting it as sleep paralysis so that it builds conflict and confusion in the viewers' minds until they discover the truth. It's literary nuance. And being convinced you saw a large, grotesque evil hag doesn't mean you actually saw Mara. You could have just subconsciously associated that image with the sensation of fear and then in a vulnerable mental state, subconsciously projected it visually. But honestly, I doubt even that happened to you. Sounds like you're just making shit up out of the blue for attention.

@@Inferno65 I can tell you are strong minded, clever, and possess a healthy dose of skepticism of strangers on the internet. (All good qualities, btw.) So, I'll just say this: Look into the "sleeping deaths" of the Laos refugees that moved to New York in the 1980's. If you are satisfied with the "scientific" explanation, than surely nothing I can say will open your mind. Lastly, I'm a grown man, I don't want attention. I just want people to be safe, and to live their lives in a positive way for themselves and the world. In other-words, take care of yourself, spiritually. For, if my experience(s) were truly catalyzed by a demon, and not a routine & systematic failure of my BRAIN, than the afterlife is utterly terrifying. Take care man.
