Thanks for making this video. I've been jealous of your success jigging trout for a long time. Hoping to try soon, very soon.

I don’t think I’m anywhere near amazing, but hopefully you found something there that will help you to be successful.

use a 1/32oz. Fish hawk Wahoo popeye feather jigs, when I use these lite little small tackle for trout it's like a feeding frenzy.

A friend of mine told me about these and I wasn’t a fan until we went fishing and he caught some almost every cast and I’m standing there regretting life lol great video and explained very well 👍

Thank you for the positive comments. I can tell you this much. Prior to using marabout jigs I caught a lot of trout, but I didn't catch a lot of trophy sized trout. Marabous were a game changer for me. If you check out my Instagram page @troyadams1964 you'll see that big trout are the norm now rather than the exception.

@@huntzz21 That’s awesome 👏 👌 going to stock up on Marabou Jigs from now on !

@@KimchiJerry good for you! Give them some time. It takes a little while to get it down, but once you do I think you'll be happy with the results. Just make sure you are fishing in areas that commonly have trout 18" or bigger.

Awesome fishing bud! Now, would you make a video to show us how you tied those flies that you were using?

Thanks for taking the time to have a look. I'm sure these marabous would light things up where you fish. I doubt many guys up there use them. If you look at my newest video you'll see my youngest daughter and I fishing on water open to the public and absolutely having a ball catching big rainbow trout out of the Missouri River.

Awesome video on how fun fishing can be... Thanks. I have a jig that I have made called The Fat Bastard. It is a take on the famous fly The Wooly Bugger.

Generally are you running the jigs as close to the bottom as possible or are you further up in the water column?
@huntzz218 жыл бұрын
In lakes and large rivers they run in the upper 3 to 5 feet when I'm snap jigging. In creeks and smaller rivers they run closer to the bottom just by the nature of the shallower water.

What do you mean by cast for the circle ?
@huntzz213 жыл бұрын
When a fish rises to eat something off the surface of the water. It usually forms a ring where they broke the surface. Cast as close to where that fish rose as possible. Do it for two reasons. One, you know for certain that a fish there. Two, it is also actively feeding which increases your odds that it might bite.
