Hi Dan- in my earliest videos I use a LAW vise. Those are incredible vises that were made by Lawrence Waldron. They are very hard to find now. We also use the Renzetti Traveler and Presentation 4000 vises. For everyday tying I don't know that there is a better vise than the Renzetti Traveler. The Traveler is available in more configurations than ever. That lets you dial in the best fit for your type of fly tying. I have also used the Stonfo Transformer Vise quite a bit. It is very versatile because of the three interchangeable heads that come with the vise. The trout jaws are great. I tie a fair number of tube flies for steelhead and the tube fly head works very well for that. Feel free to reach out to us at the shop if you have specific questions about the vises. dakotaflyangler@gmail.com Thanks!

Is this a floating streamer? It's fished on the surface? Is there a wet (weighted) version? I'd like to adapt this fly for spinning gear, tied with a weighted head.

Hi Randy- this fly sinks but not quickly. The fly is almost neutrally buoyant - should work great as a weighted fly for use with spinning gear

How do you like the vice from fnf, in the last videos you gave them up?

The FNF vise was nice. I don't know if I liked it as much as my original LAW vise. I was happy to use it but have continued to tie on my Stonfo Transformer for most of my tying. I also like the Renzetti Traveler as an all around pick. The newer Renzetti Master Vises with the streamer pedestal vises are awesome

Do you find the eyes come off after fishing it for awhile?

Hi Joe- They sure can, but it's worth experimenting with different glues. I generally use gel Loctite superglue. I bet liquid fusion might last longer but wouldn't be quite as quick to adhere initially. It would take a bit more drying time.
