My mum would be the one to do this.😂 Then after indulging my friend with all of those things and the friend leaves, she will start nagging over the kind of friends I keep - friends that watch TV and see movies. Something like: "so this how you and your friends watch movies in school ehn? I doubt if you all ever create time to read." Even though she knows I always end up with nice grades and I'm quite bookish.😂 I dreaded bringing friends home then, even though I've never been an extrovert with many friends. Now my mum can almost cry over the fact that I may not get a single phone call in four days and I do not talk about many friends, not to talk of inviting them home.😂

Me I always got on with the news watching dads because me sef like news that time. ( not anymore, too much misery in the news these days, it’s depressing) my friend would end up being because their dad won’t want to stop gisting about the latest news and would be asking my opinion about state of affairs. One friend always encouraged me to come over because that time was when she could also sit with her dad and join in the conversation. He was so strict, his own children didn’t feel comfortable enough to chat with him by themselves. I thank God for my dad, there was nothing we couldn’t and didn’t talk about and I loved listening to his stories about his growing up. I miss him so much. Rest in peace Goddy.
