Hi there, I saw your post and just want to give a bit of encouragement. This journey with God might not be easy at all times. Especially when everyone around is doing otherwise. But trust me, it’s worth it in the end. Do not be deceived. His (God’s) grace is sufficient for us always. (2nd Corinthians 12:9)😊

As a Christian young lady (21), I recently realized that it is even affecting me and how I think of my dressing. Even in the house of God, Christian girls will be dressing less modestly small small. It’s very subtle but everything is shorter, tighter and more open. So now, I’m thinking, especially at my age where I’m meeting people, that guys find you more attractive or that “you look your age” when you dress more open. And I’ve subconsciously been feeling that I need to wear shorter things. I realized this and have to actively correct my mind to avoid normalizing indecency. I stand by modesty and will not go anywhere else.

The question I always ask is why when people meet dignitaries and people in high places, they cover up? If truly exposing yourself too much isn't a problem, why do so. Aside from that, women who hold position of power in society are always covered up. I wonder why🤔

I enjoyed listening this 💯 It’s refreshing to hear this from someone with a platform (who didn’t care about the cancel culture) who knows the power they have (due to their platform) to impact truth into others. If you talk they call you “Holy Mary”, “Assistant/Deputy Jesus” They ask you, “Who are you to judge?” They tell you, “He without sin cast the first stone” “God is about the inside; not the outside” They forget that if there’s God on the inside it will show on the outside. Something else I love is that you spoke about dressing not from the angle of to please people but to respect yourself. About 13 years ago, I went on holidays to Nigeria and people were surprised that I came from abroad but dressed so simple and modest. I remember having a conversation with a pastor in Nigeria and it come up and I explained to him that even if I was not a Christina I will still dress the way I dress; it’s not just about my faith but about my dignity and self respect. I subscribed ages because I love how funny you are and I’m pleasantly surprised about this very content. I don’t know why I’m only seeing this 5 days later but I glad I saw it today and I look forward to more. I’m addicted the listening to wise words and they were many wise words in this. ❤Summer Aku

Honestly, the first word that comes to mind is “Attention”. Modesty is beautiful. I remember a friend of mine sent me a picture of herself and when I didn’t respond in a matter of time, she actually called me and told me that she knows that I’m not happy with the way she dressed up. So most times when you get people insulting for what you said, just know that part of them know that what your saying is true, but they don’t want to accept it, being is denial is better to for them than actually accepting the truth😅

The first one, nakedness. Literally I had a old friend ask me why I don't wear scandalous clothes and is it because I'm "insecure". No clue why that was her correlation, but my whole life I have always dressed clothed. I don'r feel I need to show my body, I feel free and confident when I am covered up and there's so many cute pieces as well lol. It hurts me when other women go after other women who don't agree with the nakedness and will call you a "pick me" or "you have internal misogyny".

You are so FUNNY! 😃 this video was a joy to watch. I resonate with all you talked about, especially dressing, cyber bullying and the newly married. While the current culture of near nakedness is rampant, there's still dignity in dressing modestly. Infact, modest fashion is classy, appealing and respectful of one's own self. I feel like cyber bullying is a result of jealousy and a lack of originality; people just follow trends and don't think for themselves. People are so easily influenced by a negative comment they change their narrative. As someone who's been married almost a decade, I totally agree with your point. The first years can be great, but there's a lot more insight to gain after many more.

This could not have been more timely for me especially after your third point which was excessive bath routine. I literally thought I was a weirdo earlier today for just using soap and sponge but thankfully someone just had to say that it’s perfectly normal. P.s: I still don’t have any skin deformities 😊

Maraji I have a confession☝️ or rather a testimony 😆😂🥰... There is indeed “beauty" , as in B-E-A-U-T-Y in modesty".😘 I have tasted and I have felt it for myself. NO turning back🤞

One thing I've learnt over the years is that nobody can actually say how to keep marriage...humans are different with different behaviors trully you can only speak from experience or other experiences but don't feel like you can predict or give perfect advice..Makes a lot of sense
@thesower6577
@thesower6577 Жыл бұрын
On one hand, I agree with you because of the perspective you might be coming from. But in all truth, there really are secrets and wisdoms on how to keep a marriage. Marriage is a godly institution, not formed by man, government or society. And just like many others areas of life, if we can only be humble as humans to learn and submit to this wisdom, every marriage can work out fine. But humans are just too self conceited and stubborn to submit to truth, we’re too emotion driven and always want to have control of our lives, hence our constant downfall. It takes following the instructional manual for anything to work successfully, and same goes for marriage. God bless you

I feel everyone needs to hear this, even celebrities embrace things they originally didn't start with because of the cyber world, internet and stuffs like that. We need to stand by modest living and not cause unnecessary pressure for the younger generation. This is a good one Maraji❤️

Those short clips in-between really made the whole thing funny, most especially the part you mentioned commotion😂😂😂😂😂😂... Women really need to know that they can still look beautiful while maintaining decency. As a woman, dressing indecently doesn't add to your beauty, you are just showing people what is meant to be covered/private...

Gal, speak the truth. I love this, it's not everytime you get to see this kinda of talk on socials from so called motivational speakers. Most people do this because of what they see the celebrities do and go scot free with it, and want to do it too.
