I was a 14 year old in October 71. That day my goal was to become the third base of the varsity team of my High School in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In the afternoon,after the try outs, I herd a group of kids in the Geometry classroom hearing the Story of Stories. I received Him as my Saviour. .. In those years Maranatha songs were a musical companion to these bunch of kids loving the Lord and preaching the gospel of Grace. It's been 52 yrs and we still love Him dearly and praise Him. He is Awsome! And yes I made the varsity team and played a great season, but nothing compared to the awareness of His tender love coming to my school to bring me to Him....

When I was 19 years old, I left the Lord and lived for 26 years I used to listen to this song when I was young The Lord made me remember this song, but I didn't think to find it Twenty-six years later, last summer, I moved to a quiet countryside, and the Lord made me find this song again, and I felt him touch my heart when I found it and listened to it I cried and cried, and now I am with the Lord in church The Lord is alive I praise the Lord for coming to me through this song

I bought the whole Maranatha Praise series (10 cassette tapes with these songs on them) back in the mid to late 1980s at my local Christian Book store. Go in any Christian bookstore and check out their music section today; you won't find any of this music 😢

I first heard these songs with a Jewish believer in 1972. I was in the U.S.Army. he was a pacifist, humble guy. He was being bullied by group of Marines. I interdiction. Put him n his mangled bicycle into my jeep. Driving him off-base to his trailer home. Met his Jewish wife .they were listening to this music on a simple phonograph. Both shared their conversion and joy of Jesus Christ. I was humbled. Their obvious love for God and myself. We became friends till orders separated us. I searched for their music overs years, collecting cassettes. My Life forever changed by Jesus Christ!

Thank God for Maranatha and Integrity music. Growing up as a Christian kid in the 80s India,once every few months a gentleman with a suitcase from a recording company would come and lay out 200 cassettes at the back bench of our small church. And we would buy Maranatha Worship and Integrity cassettes. Pure Worship. No lights. No loud overpowering music and the focus was just Worship of Our God. As a Worship leader well into the 2000s, at the same Church, I would still play these songs, along with Scripture in Song and more modern contemporary music. Now living in the West, churches here just don't play this songs and that is so sad. But I am grateful for this community of KZbinrs across the world who keep the worship of JESUS CHRIST simple, pure, holy, singable and congregational, where everyone could sing loudly and Worship God. I have found my music. I was there in Costa Mesa in that first tent revival. I was one of the first to set foot into Calvary Chapel. I was there every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday nights. I remember this songs being created and sung in our worships. Where have I been? I am now 81 years young and tears are streaming down my face... I have to have these songs in my life again... I attended in Atlanta with Laverne Campbell in a basement and school cafeteria back in the early eighties. Miami Campus Life Youth for Christ taught me most of these songs, and then I found Phil Keaggy and 2nd Chapter of Acts, Degarmo and Key Stella Walsh and Keith Green. In 1991 I was humbled and honored to be brought back to the Church that Jesus Christ started with the laying of His Hands on St Peter. Clearly the Catholic Church is under a attack from the Infiltration done by satan. The snake won't waste time on a false church especially now. For whoever is paying attention, that should speak Volumes 🤔 There's only one Church that the snake wants to destroy, and it's always been The Holy Catholic Church. I don't want to be contentious, not offend anyone. However, these worship songs with their lyrics would touch your deep soul and possessed such anointing that would melt any heart. Todays' worship music with notable exceptions. Even Though has beauty in it, do not produce the same effect. Maybe I'm an old school, but I pray groups like Maranatha may rise again.

Perhaps it has to do with the frequency it was recorded at. Music used to be recorded at 432Hz and now it is 440Hz. Could also be why there is more aggression in the world.

As me also i was a drunk a whore life center around me or so i thought when my life fell apart i was ready to commit sudside i had gone in the bathroom and took a raser blade to cut my arm up on the artery i was 25 years old my husbun whom i did love csught me cheating had shot the man he caught me with and had been put in prision there was nothing left for me i had 3 kids the frist two did belong to him My sister had met Jesus i really did not think he could help me as i was crying saying goodby to the world i herd a voice say why not give me a chance i knew who it was Jesus i drop everything and started bawling i met the master oh people if anyone read this and are in a sisutation like mine of anykind our master can and will forgive us It did not end there i felt clean worthy of my lord Jesus You see i had gone from a virgin to a whore as my husbun did not help any drinking running around on me which i felt i had every right to do as he had but when i met Jesus oh my the beauty of the lord i could forgive my self through Jesus my husbun was in prison and god was working on him our father has a plan in all thing he met jesus also Today im 70 years old and my husbun is 74 we both still love Jesus. He still just as sweet to me as the day when i was 25 my walk with him today is really gets sweeter ill jump praise my lord he exciting our lord is not so high he cant feel our hurts and pain the holy spirit is with me in me i speak with another toung there nothing in the word of god he that say he will perform 45 years ive walk in his fullness and only touch his surface These song reminde me. I am 66 and listening to this music takes me back to a beautiful and hopeful time of my life. On Saturday nights, me and all my newly saved friends would escape our abusive families and pile into the vehicle if a friend with a license. We would travel the 3 hour trip which sometimes took longer cuz of the cars un-roadworthiness but we didn't care. We'd say a prayer and go for it. So hungry for the risen Christ. We go barefooted and sit cross legged on the floor of Calvary Chapel (post tent) and felt the presence of the Holy Spirit so strong we'd be high for weeks. We'd come home before sunrise the next day changed. Our families were stunned. Thank you Jesus for being so kind and gentle to all of us broken kids who had no hope except for you. I love you with all my heart even now all these years later. You are everything to me and always will be.

Thank you for posting this. I grew up on these songs. My mom played them at my dad's funeral when I was 10 and I turned from God for a long time. I came back to Him a couple years ago. I'm now 37 and in those 25 years searching for God in all the wrong places, He set me free and I'm enjoying the Maranatha singers again with such gladness and praise! I cherish these beautiful songs in my heart. I had returned from Trinidad, ill and broken as my husband had to return to the UK having been made redundant due to recession. I had only just got saved. 3 little children and no job. I held their little kids hands and prayed and God gave him a job 350 miles away. We later joined him and God led me to a small Pentecostal Church. These were the anointed songs that my new spiritual family sang each week. They loved and supported us over the years. I thank God for them and for His love and faithfulness. 4 of us are saved now and only waiting for my son and his family to be saved. I am an evangelist for Jesus. GOD BE THE GLORY!

I'm sorry but this is not necessarily true (the worship of God will never leave a child). My sister, as a little girl, worshipped God, memorized Bible verses (got prizes in Sunday school for her Bible verses), would sing and raise her hands during church, we were in church all day/night on Sunday, every Wednesday and any event the church had throughout our entire childhoods, she would "evangelize" her friends... and my sister hates God now that she's an adult. She says the worst, filthiest blasphemies against Him. She has taken up a bi-sexual lifestyle, she does & sells drugs, and I do believe she is doing some sort of web sex cam stuff, but I can't be 100 % sure because I'm sure not going out on the internet to find it lol. I'm telling you this so that way you understand you need to guard your child, keep instilling the Lord in them by example and teaching constantly, because a child can walk away from God at any time. My sister did.

I am like many here. I was saved Nov. 7 1976 and baptized leaving the old man of sin in the watery grave and just soaked up all of Maranathas Praise music. I am 72 now. So much first love in these comments. I remember, so calif. Simple worship, Jesus people. Dec. 15, 1970, and Jesus saved me. I have missed you so much my brothers and sisters. I wondered where you went over the decades. I feel like I am back in church with you again listening to this music while reading these comments. Finally got baptized by immersion 53 years later. Matthew, Please pray this: The bible has been changed. Did God say? Come on, really? God said He preserved His word. Psalm 12:6-7. Most modern bibles do not. In other words they are not admitting that God has a standard, His inspired word. His word is quick (alive) and quickens (gives life). His word is eternal. Most of the modern bibles have at least one out and out lie. NKJB lies in Exodus 6:3. They began to call on the name of the Lord in Genesis 4:26. Others quote Jesus telling his brothers, i am not going to the feast. John 7:8. (Is he saying he is going to break the law of Moses?) He waits and then goes. Liar! BLASPHEMY . Jesus simply said, not going now, not yet. He waits and then goes. No problem, no lie. And blatantly they mock Jesus and unashamedly, constantly, with each change ask, Did God say? Did God say Mark 11:26? Absolutely. It is an essential part of our walk with God. A verse that makes us tremble was added????? Did God say? Acts 15:34? It shows God's divine providence. Silas was there when Paul needed him for a journey. Obviously Silas remained there. BRAZENLY, they change or remove a word that gives the believers true power! Matthew 12:31 and Mark 9:29! Some spiritual warfare needs prayer and fasting! Did God say eleven (11) times in the New Testament the word damnation, eternal burning? Yes. But not in theirs! Did God say? Did God give three witnesses to that truth? Mark 9:44, 46, 48. They however only have v48. The other two they ask, Did God say? This is important because we need to know the truth and those who preach Annialism, we cease to exist, are easily proven wrong with these verses. Jesus is God and Jesus is Man. Hebrews supports this with four verses, 3:3, 7:24, 8:3 and 10:12: "But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sin for ever, sat down at rhe right hand of God; v10:12. They do not use the clarifying words 'this man' at all. Again, Did God say? Every change they make is an insult to God and His word. God said He would curse those who add to or take from His word. Revelation 22:18-19. In the Old Testament those who honored a false prophet received the reward of that prophet. So the Alexandrian translators, the bible societies the publishers, the promoters, sellers and those who teach from them (showing those ear tickling bibles as God's word) or honor them will be held responsible. If done ignorantly, repent. God will not be mocked. This happened when the inspired Antioch manuscripts called the Textus Receptus were replaced by the Alexandrian manuscripts called the Codex B or the Vaticanus from the Vatican basement, and the Sianiticus from a monestary. Thank you so very much for putting these in here. Only God could know how much I need these songs now. I am sleeping under a tree, praying for a breakthrough with my children and my grandchildren. Jesus saving them in spite of the mistakes I made as a mother, and all I have seen both them and my grandchildren suffer in this world, and the scars and the deception, my heart is broken and my spirit is crushed. I cling to His Word, in the scriptures where He says He will save my children, He is the only Hope I have for any of us. So... I just keep repeating the scriptures that gives me peace, that He will save them. The enemy hates me, and them, I know. I hate sin, my own, more than anyone else's, I have been thru deep repentance, my eyes are totally open to just how bad mine were, and just how destructive they were, and are, for my son's, and all my grandchildren, and now a great grandchild on the way. I have no hope, apart from the Blood of Jesus Christ, and that I know He was who He said He was, and that He did what He said He did, and that because He did, Father sees me as His righteousness, and He knows my heart is truly full of Godly repentance, and that I tremble in fear of Him. Hie Love, His grace, and His mercy, His Word, are the only things that can bring me peace. I love listening to these songs. It really helps me through the good and bad times. I brought up my daughter in church since birth, baptised her, church every Sunday, Sunday school, accepted Jesus as her Lord & Saviour, served in ministries as she grew older until her early teens then she stopped going to church, even when she did go she was dissatisfied. When I try talking to her about church, she gets angry. For many years, I have been praying for her to reconnect. She still doesn't go to church but I have faith God will work in His own time. The seed has been planted in her life. That I believe will never go away. As parents I think we continue to pray for our children and God will do the rest.

Such a blessing to hear these praise songs. I remember in my early 20`s standing in the choir with all of us singing our parts. So many wonderful memories . God through the years has been the same ,with his blessings and grace. Though I have been up and down . He has been the constant in my life like a friend who has never left my side. Knock, knock, knock... Do beat our swords and weapons into plowshares and spears into pruning shears and learn war no more. Isaiah 2:4 Come in Amazing, Revelation 21:4 'And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: The former things have passed away. ' ( No more death is referring to death of spirit, because The Holy Spirit is quashed by wars, abuse, sin, hurt, slavery and oppression etc which take away peace and happiness and fall short of God's Love causing grief, pain, illness, sickness and death of the spirit leading to death of happiness and joy leading to depression, anxiety and sicknesses that in time lead to sickness and physical death. ) If there are millions of people on antidepressant and anxiety medication, then there are still millions of anxious and depressed people. Masking a symptom with a drug is not healing and so the fullness of the spirit and fruits of the spirit are lost and life looses joy and natural pleasure. This is why spiritism/pharmakia cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven and neither can the sinners. For Life in accord with God's promise for life we must walk in and by God's Spirit of altruistic Love for Life. It’s been a rough & bumpy road cuz my family lost faith in me but Jesus warned us about that. That’s okay cuz He took me as His own, I’d rather have Jesus. As a little girl growing up in the 1980s, the Maranatha collection of worship and praise songs were always a source of inspiration. Into the 90s in my high school and uni years, they continued to encourage my young faith. Now listening to this time-less spiritual songs with such Spirit-inspired words, I am blessed that I was introduced to such melody at an early age. Gospel music today is so different from when these songs were out. Blessed

I am 70 years old...I accepted His gift of salvation at 12. But these songs began with me at 19. I think everyone who has commented my heart. Nothing really to add, except that I wish we go back to true worship music and sing these again as some churches sing hymns from long ago. This worship brings His beautiful presence. He is a beautiful God. Today, Donald J. Trump is appearing in court in Manhattan for false charges. I have already prayed for God to fill that court room with legions of angels with swords drawn. That President Trump would physically see His Master and the angels and weep before Him.

I was probably in my mid 50’s (I am now 84) when I first purchased the double cd set of this album. One was only instrumental and the second was instrumental with vocal. I played it daily several times often offering a dance of praise and worship to our Lord!!! This is probably one of my favorite worship albums of all time!!!

These worship songs bring memories of the day I walked back into the House of the Lord and promised I would believe and hold on to him no matter how high the storms of life engulfed me... rejoined choir and had the best time of comeback singing his prasies and strengthening my faith. 42 years down the line and finding this is a treasure ... Jesus has held and carried me through the storms and bad times to date and I just want to say to those reading this... no matter how bad the devil tries to get you through marriage, family and life ... believe, hold his hand, dont let go, and he will carry you through. Beautiful! I was saved in 1983 and back then I listened consistently to a cassette tape of Maranatha until I forgot the tape once when staying at the family cottage. It was left inside the boombox and the next time I went to search for it, it was nowhere to be found. I know it was one of my brothers who I had tried to witness to who probably tossed it out. Sad! I was too timid to call him out on it. I am still praying for Father God to send my 3 brothers the laborers Jesus said we could ask of the Father and believe for their salvation in Christ. Amen. I miss that tape but thank God for KZbin. I'm enjoying the memories of listening to this. 🥰
