As a designer, I always opt for an older classic couch and I recover it In custom fabric. Same with my clubs and wing chairs. I look for Ethan Allen, Sam Moore, and Henredon mostly. I am a lover of custom fabrics though. It is more expensive but it’s the only way I can get the look I love.

I love relaxing with a coffee and watching your channel. I love how you decorate! So many things I have, too, are thrifted and part of my heart. I feel so blessed for my hubby and me to have a little home to love and have little treasures in. We have projects and old stained carpet, but it doesn't have to be perfect to be loved. In time we will replace the carpet and get the things done. I keep my heart on the treasures I have, like the items you show. You help me keep my mind on the pretty!

Hi Maranda You truly are an artist. I don’t have many friends who change their house for all the seasons but I do. They think it is too much work .I love that you change things up. I tell everyone I have to change things in my house , but have had the same husband for years and years😂😂. I just think it makes our life and home interesting. I have been missing my mom and dad. They bought my sis and I white and blue floral china as a wedding gift. My mom did not live long enough to see me married. I did not love the china back then. I recently went up in the attic and got it all out and put it all in my old white china cabinet in the kitchen. It brings me joy. I love it now. I understand about changing sofas. We had one that had to go to. I love the blue and white. I love the curtains. They make a huge difference. With the sofa , you can easily store some decor even. This sofa style is great for company. I have to ask about your china cabinet. I have a darker wood color one that is a 1929 one. I wonder if you know much about yours. This is your living room. I know some were upset about the old sofa. I agree it is beautiful and glad later you may be able to use in another room, but this suits your life style and your friends and family gathering. I love that you can wash the coverings. You know how to make your home beautiful and I enjoy your channel so so much. ❤❤❤❤❤

You can put your sheers on another curtain rod underneath your velvet drapes because the sun will fade your blue ones from thd out side or you should get shades. Looks really pretty ! Blue and white is so elegant! ( Mrs Z)

Although this is practical... and gifted.....it looks to show room , Living Spaces , catalog room look to me. The other unique shape and style of the old sofa , with your round coffee table gave the room such a cozy feel. But to each his own.

I’m really sorry to hear that! We could no longer sit on our other couch so it was time for an upgrade! We love it so much! I promise it is so cozy and doesn’t look this “styled” in our everyday life. We have cozy blankets and quilts/ pillows we cozy up with and it’s such a comfortable space 🩵 Like you said, to each his own!

It must feel so good to have upgraded to a sofa you don't have to constantly try to fix. The new sofa looks fabulous and love that you can change it up depending on the gathering taking place that day. I've had a version of it with the drink holders and storage twice in my life.
