If you can afford the pm8006 and a na6006 . The sound is outstanding vs good from the stand alone pm7000n . For most the amp works great for a simple setup and situation. The pm8006 slams better and sound is wider .

I was already stretching out a bit with pm7000n. And I love the sound. I would rather had better speakers if I were to buy pm8006. Do you have it? What speakers are you using?

Yes I use and pair the na6006 with the pm8006 pair of klipsch Cornwall IV the sound is fantastic

Your speakers are more expensive. My Triton 3 Tower were $1000/piece. More expensive amp would be an overkill for them. Need better speaker.

I guess I should explain further . I had the pm7000n paired with the Cornwall Iv I decided to go with the pm8006 and added the na6006 network player for my streaming services . My jaw dropped from what the pm8006 and the sound is was producing. The pm7000n wasn’t bad it just didn’t provide the synergy the pm8006 does with the cornwalls . I was sharing my thoughts from my experience with a vs ,vs situation with the two different amps . Meant no disrespect as the pm7000n does sound nice also .

Stereo amp are so much better than 5.1 or 7.1 avr receivers,they been tune better for audio

I agree, 2.0 for same will definitely be better than 5.1, 7.1. More channels amplifiers at the same quality, will be more expensive in manufacturing. I don’t think listening to music needs more than 2.0

Maybe someone can figure why yours does not work. Someone may just change a capacitor and it will be fine. If you know such a person. But overall I m happy with this new Marantz

Have anyone tried to play music thrue ssd or hard drive? And if have is it true the limitation of number of files, that Marantz states?

Yes, I own this amp, it can read HDDs. Limitation of number files: 5000.

@cs.b.9857 in the end I just connected it to a computer, I have Audigy Zx sound card. Do you think it is better that way or to connect an external HDD/SSD

Bluetooth 4.1 I mostly listen to CDs from OPPO or through computer’s audigy ZX Bluetooth is always a bit worse (nothing over 16 kHz)

Bought this amp about 2 years ago set it up with at set off Warfdale Diamonds I personally find the bass very. Used to have a Sony amp and it would knock the socks off this. Very disappointed with this.

My triton 3 have active bass and the rest passive. The amp gives really good and clear mid-high. So I cannot really agree or object your statement. I think Your Sony amp was boosting base while Marantz gets it straight, just add more bass through Marantz’ knob.
