Thanks for your video. I own a DV9600, which has the same drive-unit where also the belt has become slippery and has to be replaced. Your action make it easy for me. Greetings from the Netherlands!

Small update: the belt has been succesfully replaced and the DV9600 is operating fully. Except a small thing: some DVD’s give a ‘NO PLAY’ message and cannot be played. Very sad about it.

@@bertushd Clean the pickup lens with absolute ethanol. If that doesn't fix it, you'll need to replace the pickup. The model version of the pickup is "HOP-1200S" or "HOP-1200W".

@@ジャンクな黒桜 thanks for you reply. The strange thing is that there are some DVD’s which can be played without problems. So, I don’t think that the problem is causes by the optics/mechanics, but by the software. I’ve already contacted Marantz Support and a dutch Marantz forum. So, I hope I get the solution some time. If so I will let it know. 🖖

Hi, in the mean time I've discovered the reason of this 'No Play' problem. It is the mechanics that causes it. First I thought it was a software (dvd-region) issue, but also one of my CD-'s didn't play. So I disassemble the player again and put som lubricant on the moving parts. That helped a lot. Almost al my DVD play now. Except a few. The only problem that is left now is that the cam/slide-cam (eur part-nr 90M13AK054210) is worn out the last 2 teeth. So, the loading isn't going well at the moment. So I have to fux that.
