Back in the day there was K-1, they used to allow clinching up to 3 seconds or so. It would be nice if ONE and Glory would use the K-1 kickboxing rules. In some ONE fights they allow limited clinching, in others they don’t. Imo the clinch / knee Grigorian threw is part of kickboxing.

ONE's rules are inconsistent at best. Look at Petchmorakot VS Petrosyan - Petch was allowed to clinch Petro all day, and everyone was pissed when the decision was overturned. Chatri stated you *can* clinch in ONE Kickboxing, but it is short and you have to be active. Now people are saying there's no clinch allowed at all? Get over yourselves. Modern Kickboxing has always allowed a limited amount of clinch. K-1 disallowed it for a time, but today you can still see their fighters briefly clinching so they can frame and knee. Clinching is a part of Kickboxing. Marat won fair and square. Move on. Sitthichai is still 4 - 2 against Marat, this loss doesn't really damage his legacy

spot on mate. also look at marat vs superbon R4. marat ate so many step through knees, where superbon grabbed his head, and coste didn't intervene. now he tries it himself and gets immediately shot down by the ref 🤔

So many power shoot, look at just before the knee clinch punch, Sittichai receive 3 punchs in the head he was KD standing, him leggs didn't carry him. People cannot imagine what's is it a punch of Marat Grigorian. This guys haven't hands, he's got 2 rock .

Thai's really need to harden themselves for maximum weight advantage like westerners are do.. Sitti hsi is evidently still far superiror technically as evident in rd1 but unless youre at your peak if not mentally, then physically them ykhre going tk havw a hard time w/ guys like Grigoriam/Allazov who are not only taller w0ore reach but denser.. easily 10+lbs difference fightnight.

Sitthichai hasn't looked the same since he left Glory and came to ONE. He's beaten some good fighters since then like Ozcan, Tawanchai, and Kiria. But he doesn't have the same sharpness, accuracy, and distance control that he had when he was in his prime. He looks noticably slower, too. Even his body looks thinner and less full. He's still a world class fighter, but it looks like he's starting to decline pretty significantly.

Marat used two illegal consecutive clinches for applying the knees. That was dangerous and amazingly enough Marat was not punished by the referee for intentionally violating the rule !

@Insan3-qf1dw You have to take into consideration two kinds of clinches: YOUR MOST CLINCHES that don't cause any damages to the other fighter and you can say to the least, it's not intentional. However, in this case, Marat's clinches, he used two illegal consecutive clinches for applying the knees, the last one caused bad damage to Sittichai; Marat was clearly intentional with two damaging clinches that shows his unsportmanlike which deserves a point deduction, not just warning. The result was clear to weakening Sittichai's body in the next round.

Poor Sitthichai. Marat resorted to cheating in this fight by landing an illegal knee to Sitthichai's liver while clinching in the 2nd round. The referee should have allowed Sitthichai more time to recover from such a foul. Despite this setback, Sitthichai displayed remarkable resilience, quickly getting back on his feet due to his warrior spirit. However, as the fight progressed into the 3rd round, Sitthichai's performance noticeably declined, with his movements becoming sluggish. Seizing the opportunity, Marat targeted Sitthichai's weakened state with another liver shot. This fight should be declared a no contest, or at the very least, Marat should not be rewarded with any bonuses.
