Marauder PCP (P-Rod) SS Balance Valve Install

This is our high efficiency valve for the P-Rod. By doing nothing other than installing this valve and using the factory hammer spring, and hammer spring adjustment, we can dial your velocity up to well over 800fps, and/or it can increase the shot count per air charge. This is probably the best single modification for the P-Rod. These valves require very little force to open, and the best initial setup is to back the tension way off such that the hammer free-flights during firing. It's possible (though we've never actually done it), that firing the valve with a heavy hammer, and a heavy hammer spring, with no pressure in the tank, could cause damage to the valve internals. Please refrain from using heavy hammers with this valve. The stock P-Rod has a spacer in between the valve and the gauge block, for installation of our valve, remove this little spacer, and only install the Balanced SS valve, and the gauge block.

This was a great tutorial on the dis-assembly of a P-Rod, but I was expecting an install tutorial re: the JSA BALANCED P-ROD VALVE - THUMBS DOWN!!

It is the same EXACT process with the balance valve.

I was stumped by your comment until now... I just found that some of the P-Rod balance valve housings have an oversized O-ring groove - so the valve is extra tight, to too tight going in the tube... I'm sorry that I didn't notice the machining of some housings are out of tolerance... I just ordered O-rings that may fit well for this situation so that I can simply send a different o-ring out to you... otherwise, I would be happy to alter your valve housing so that it fits in the tube! (I was stumped because the dimensions of the valves should be the same and should install exactly the same...I have installed some valves just fine, but recently found some that don't fit (too tight!) - I'm sorry about that! - I assume this is your issue?)
