Dani, the ii-V in this case is 'not' diatonic to G Maj if with the A min as Dorian correct? So, a ii-V acts as 'playing outside' in cases like this when super imposing a cadence? Thnx

Not enough people use the b9 sound any more. They just shove shredding half/hole dim in there. But a b9 arp sounds so good a appropriate…like in Autumn leaves. Hearing a lot of diminished…in blues too. Part of the problem is I sound lame playing diminished and feel like a total Robin Ford/Sco/Jimmy Herring poser. How can we make diminished sound less lame and less corny? I’m working on the triads in diminished…but I think I still sound lame. I also have baggage from cartoons and rockabilly/He Haw…which is cool …but not when I’m larping jazz. Bach there’s in subs and dim and it sounds awesome.
