Recipe - Marble CaKe
Ingredients
140g All Purpose Flour
20g Cocoa Powder
150g Caster Sugar
150g Soft Butter
3 Eggs
1/4 tsp Salt
90ml Milk
1 tsp Baking powder
1 tsp Vanilla Essence
Tin Size- 8x4 inch loaf tin
1.Preheat the oven to 170 degree Celsius
2.Lightly grease a 8 x 4″ loaf pan and line it with parchment paper, allowing the ends to hang over for easy removal of the loaf after baking. Set aside.
3.In a medium bowl, sieve together dry ingredients.Set aside.
4. In another bowl , cream together butter and sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy.
5. Add the eggs and vanilla, and mix it until well combined.
7. Beat the mixture until light and fluffy on medium high speed, about 1 to 2 minutes. We want to incorporate air into the batter.
8. Add the flour to the egg mixture, alternating with the milk. Do not overmix.
9. Once combined, Divide the batter into two parts and add in cocoa powder to half the batter .
10. Alternatively our the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
10. Bake for about 45-55 minutes, checking the cake at 35-40 minutes.
11. The cake is done when it springs back when gently pressed on top. A toothpick inserted in the center of the loaf comes out clean or with a few crumbs remaining. Do not overbake or the cake will be dry.
12. Remove the cake from the oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes in the pan.
13. Using the parchment paper ends, pull the loaf from the pan and place on a cooling rack to cool completely.
14. Consume it within 4 days of making it .
