Great stuff! If you think about it, once this project is all complete we'll be able to finally redesign Marble Hill Zone to more closely resemble the better stage designs like the ones we saw in Sonic 2 and 3 & Knuckles. Marble Hill Zone has to be one of the weakest zones in Sonic 1, a real downgrade after Green Hill, I would say... The music is always strong though!

The Marble Zone theme has always been a mixed bag for me (even the Original Official Version), I rather like it or just straight up dislike it... however over the years, many remixes/ different renditions of it have brought me into a new perspective, making me enjoy the theme more than the Original (no offence Sonic Team), examples like Tee Lopes, Box Robot Studios have made them very exquisite versions that just really sublime (especially Box Robot Studios), and here's your take on it (specifically of the Daytime event)... and I gonna say, Major Props on the track Dude, Instant 10/10 for you on my Book ^w^ 👍

This already sounds really good, but since the track is marked as subject to change, imo the snares could be a bit more subtle. The original's drums were incredibly simple, but I feel like the pronounced snare takes away slightly from the mysterious vibe of the original. Perhaps instead of the snare, the PSG drums could be a bit louder? The original's less pronounced beats I think added to that atmosphere. Of course, this is my opinion, and regardless this sounds great! Good work, and looking forwards to hearing it in-game!

Yeah I have the same nitpick myself listening to it. This track is still undergoing mixing and mastering right now, so having this kind of feedback is helpful. I think just making the snare quieter would help out a lot.

... I seriously hope act 2 has more of an emphasis on the upper than the lower level stuff. Seriously, some of the claustrophobic level design of marble zone can straight up go fuck itself. It's the only zone in sonic 1 where I cannot obtain a chaos emerald, I can get it from labyrinth zone with enough patience

Sonic Studio is an unofficial Sonic fan-game that allows you to create custom levels from zones throughout the classic Sonic games, in the same spirit as Super Mario Maker. It's being developed by Lewis, also known as LapperDev, and the OST is being composed/arranged by myself and another musician who hasn't been revealed just yet.

@@PigDan I can't really speak to that myself. Lewis has been really focusing on making sure features and ideas are fully realized and developed more than anything else. He's an absolute legend though, besides the music, he's doing everything himself as one man. That's beyond impressive. A demo will come in time, I'm sure. 🙂
