I love this guy because I have difficult time interpreting abstract concepts, and this guy shows me what it actually means. Imagine that I am nearly blind and Nick Nocturne takes me to an art gallery: on my own, I’d probably only get 5% of the art (story), maybe 25% if I tried hard. Due to this, I would not be able to effectively interpret the videos, and, therefore, don’t even try out of frustration. Nick Nocturne tells me what the art really is and how he interprets it.

Marble Hornets, the OG and the face of the entire Slenderverse. If we have never gotten this series, i wouldn’t have gotten the childhood traumas that i suffered back in the day. Same is said for TribeTwelve and EverymanHYBRID. I’m glad i discovered the series despite getting anxiety and paranoia about the Slenderman.

Am I the only one who finds Slendy sorta...well, silly? I mean it's just a tall dude, in a suit, who sometimes turns all noodly. I dunno why, but I just can't find anything with him in it scary. So for THIS to give me the willies through its performances and clever editing alone? That's pretty special. The "tree" at 7:40 alone was enough to get me spooked.
@josethebioform75198 жыл бұрын
it's kind of like the boogey man. and it isn't so much as scary in the current popular sense of jumpscares (despite those damn games) the story and character play more on the lack of humanity in such a creature that is humanoid. it's less omg scary and more unnerving. plus humans generally fear the unknown and well it's unknown what he does to the children. I'm in no way saying he's real lol I'm just saying the story and character are less jumpscare and more a disturbing unnerving concept. whenever I see him I think of nervil (I think that's the name of the kid of the boogeyman) in grim adventures of Billy and mandy

I know this is an older video of yours, but I wish you could re-edit it so that your narration was on the same audio level as the sampled videos. I keep having to turn the volume up and down because when it's loud enough for me to hear your commentary, the Marble Hornets clips end up being way TOO loud. It's so much louder that it ends up being an unintentional jumpscare half the time even when the beginning of the footage doesn't actually contain any jumpscares.

I have a guilty pleasure being dark and gritty documentaries, which is a shame cause no one seem to be able to deliever it. It always gets ruined with something. This review puts those documentaries to shame! This review had me at the edge of my seat for almost a full hour, eager to watch more! Everything was covered in just the right amount of depth. It never fealt like it was too much and never too little. The pressentation of the findings, evidence and theories were shockingly good! I never lost sight of what was what, who was who and when was when. Your voice is AMAZINGLY fitting with the tone of the review, feeling almost like you're telling a ghost story, but at the same time seeming neutral to what's going on, like a real reporter! For one who has watched a ton of Marble Hornets, this took everything I thought I knew, flipped it on its head and made me several times look at my friend who was watching it with me going "Duuuuude..." The only nitpick I can make about the entire thing is the sound levels. Sometimes your voice drowns out in the background audio and while the sudden jump in audio in the original videos is meant to be startling, I would personally maybe think about leveling it out a little for the sake of pressentation, especially when the audio with you is so low in comparrison. Other than that, masterfully done, both in editing, pressentation, narration and just sheer detective work! Amazing! Nothing short of amazing!
@NightMind9 жыл бұрын
WebcomicRelief Thank you, Riiser! It was an immensely pleasant surprise to see this comment from you. I'm incredibly grateful, and even more surprised you invited a friend to watch! I can't express my gratitude enough--seriously, thank you very much for your review, support, and for viewing. As for the audio, I'll absolutely admit that in recent viewings, I did catch that there were moments of drop, either in vocal track or background music--it just came a bit too late to actually address it, and I needed to work with the next video's audio to really learn the process necessary for making sure the balance stuck. I've learned from this mistake and applied the knowledge to the following videos, striking a happy medium and learning how to pull overall better sound quality. Once again, thank you very much! I'm very satisfied that this video was worth both you and your friend's time!

@Harrjannk9 жыл бұрын
+Night Mind I thought, he recorded what happened to his forehead beforehand and the operator sneaking into his room and him closing the door afterwards. Due to him recording over the old tape, it looks like his head is bleeding afterwards, when in reality he began filming the door stuff after the part where his head is bleeding, which explains why he still has dried out blood on his had in that scene. Maybe I got it wrong, but that's what I thought it to be.
