Small graphic design feedback: while I eventually figured out that the green arrow was pointing towards the winning team, in the future it’d be nice if it emphasized the direction that the block was pushed (so an emphasized leftward arrow means the block moved left). Maybe just reverse the two arrows so that they’re both pointing inward; that was the green arrow is still connected to the winning team but it’s pouting the correct direction
@cjbee383911 ай бұрын
I can see how this would come across. Personally I didn’t have the same experience. Red line looks to represent block orientation (red block) and green indicates the win. I think the green arrow should just be a glow around the winning teams name instead of arrows. Confusing design choice.

It's an interesting event - I do think that it could be improved by having some way to stop the block from rotating or being pushed off. (Maybe set it up like block pushing where it's in a recessed channel on the track?) But it's a good concept, especially for the first time it's run, and I look forward to seeing how it evolves over time. Also, good to see CCE taking the bronze - the block rotation didn't do them any favors in that semi-final round, though. Still time to push back to the top! #EyesOnThePrize
@stechuskaktus831811 ай бұрын
Tbh when I saw how this event was set up, I already expected another 16th place. All the more amazing they got a 🥉 in a strength event. They needed it too, since that other one really hurt their standings.
@gomezsandy11 ай бұрын
i thought the same thing, that it would be more exciting if the block didn't fall off. also does block need to be as long as it is? cutting a bit at both ends would allow for more effect from the kinetic energy being generated by the teams. :)
@z-beeblebrox11 ай бұрын
I think having enough room on the sides for rotation is important, because it introduces some "strategy" into the event so it's not pure strength (aka lowers the risk of a marble chipping). However as a Momo fan who watched the team completely fumble this by falling off the track before even reaching the block, YES some rails would be nice :P

@@rorybessell8280 competition requires fairness, otherwise it is just exhibition. This is why competition has rules to make things balanced and fair. No one is asking to handicap the results, they are asking to reduce the factors that are out of the competitor's hands. If a team is really the best, they can win a double elimination format. This is why a sprint has different starting positions around a curved track, to remove the unfair advantage one team might get from starting in a closer lane. The suggestions people are making in these comments is make it about the marbles, not the seeding, the lanes, the slope. Just the marbles. Well done Pinkies! First medal of these games and almost top 5. Also congrats to the Bumblebees on the gold #PinkyPower

Wow.. On the edge of my seat for that last round! Gee.. Was hoping the Pinkies would pull ahead and get that gold. Well fought and well deserved for the host team though. Congratulations Bumblebees
