This is insane! I have no idea how this ended up in my recommended, but I'm so happy it did. I have to give the utmost respect to the creator of this, the amount of time and attention to detail is incredible. What a crazy year this is going to be! Gliding Glaciers, after one of the worst performances in ML history in 2018, come out of retirement to qualify! Rojo Rollers qualify for the first time in 5 years! And by tying with the Hazers, too! The Midnight Wisps become the first team that has both won a Marble League and not qualified for one! The Oceanics continue to prove they're a Winter team by failing to qualify! The Indigo Stars and Shining Swarm both return to the scene with a great showing! The Shining Swarm were in the bottom 4 of the Showdown, so they weren't even expected to be here, and they still qualified! The Limers, coming from the very bottom of the Showdown, have somehow managed to qualify! The Pinkies.... almost did? They sucked for 3 straight rounds but then got a gold medal, which is pretty impressive for them. Team Galactic, who have a history of doing really well in qualifiers, miss out on their first ML in a spectacular failure! I officially have no idea what to expect. And I'm very excited.

I LOVE THE COMMENTARY! It honestly makes the whole thing worth it. I just subscribed, this is insane levels of commentary, the realism, the narrative. Man I should have gotten on this sooner, I've seen some of the big stuff but not the league, Fun Fact: John Oliver made me aware of this channel on his program like a year ago? This show is absolutely made in the editing. They must film everything first, multiple camera angles, cut that all together then add in the overlays and the commentary track. I'm glad they have devices for catching the speed too, it's possible the commentary comes after the overlay but I mean, who could say. It's cut together so well though it feels like it would be all continuous like the Olympics, crazy. In the first event 2 only one team got over 2 minutes, in the second event 2, six teams got to at least 2 minutes, crazy! Some explainers would be nice, I can't remember all my questions, but one of them is did the top 4 teams win previous tournaments so they auto qualified?

@@JellesMarbleRuns I watched nearly the entire thing (except the big finale/Showdown P1/P2) In a single day, It took a while and I would take breaks to do other things. I actually don't need the explain anymore, because well, you guys explain it at the end of the whole shindig. (like during the showtime parts). I also commented on another video that you also don't shoot in order. I'm curious why the trials are ordered the way they are, considering the setup of for example the elimination and rally/straight race or diving and triathlon. It's fine, you are not obligated to explain the behind the scenes magic. I would be fascinated to see some videos of it, the production is great, there is stop motion involved, and i noticed the first time I spotted Raldo, they have to un-place him for the next shot, so there is a lot of work there. I also think this might be the English-language version of the channel similar to Kurzgesagt in a nut shell, since they are also German based. I just want to say the entire experience was incredibly compelling, and I do not watch sports. I also don't like watching people play card and board games because of the non-involvement. I find I can't really get over that. I can't say that I will watch the next one, but you've got my subscription. I also found that I loved the production in the designs of the team logos and the naming conventions of the competitors, despite the fact that outside of the cat's eyes they look identical to my eyes (or at least from the distance you shoot at.) I fell in love with a team called Kobalt that at Gnome as one of it's competitors since I'm a big dungeons and dragons guy, so It was funny to not find a team to root for until the entire thing was over. It might drag me back. Also a little feedback for new people like me coming onto this, there were moments, where no explanation would be made for something in the like qualifiers that 26 minute video was glorious and might have been my favorite, it was a condensing of the entire show that i was going to watch next, i kind of prefer that length then all this individual events over a long period of time... I'm getting off track here, I mean to say you give like nothing for an explanation, and i have to pick it up as I go along and then all of a sudden in the real event right after it, an explanation I no longer need. I... It's so weird, i don't know quite how I feel, it feels like maybe unnecessary and frustrating the order of it all. BUT I reiterate: I do not watch sports with humans, so, I don't know how these things are suppose to go. Thank you again for taking time out of your day to look back and manage your social media. Incredible how 2 giants like the Midnight Wisps and Team Galactic, 2 of the most popular teams in the Marble League, have not qualified, and the Oceanics the same, they have participated in all of the Marble Leagues and this year have not qualified, surprising too. This year is absolutely crazy with the return of the Rojo Rollers (my 2nd favourite team), Shining Swarm, Limers, Chocolatiers, Indigo Stars and the debut of the Glinding Glaciers, which surprises me because when they competed at home on the ice (Marble League 2018) they did terribly wrong and they did not qualify for the event but in the desert they have qualified, its very surprising.

Small correction: The Gliding Glaciers didn't debut, they returned after retirement. Although they do have an entire new roster, so you somehow could say it was a debut. Exited what they have to bring to the table and if they are up for the task. So far, they have show an impressive and vast skillset in qualification.

The Wisps are thicc boys, momentum challenges do us well... except for the wave where our momentum is a problem. Bad performance in the wave put us at the front for event 2, which also killed us. Not enough in rounds 3/4 to make up for it. Pain.

Damn I feel so bad for the jungle jumpers. Two points off qualifying and if they were in group b they would have qualified. If we had the old qualifying system then jungle jumpers and midnight wisps would qualify instead of the green ducks and chocolatiers. Reminds me of last years qualifiers where jumpers lost out because of a track defect. Best of luck to the jungle jumpers and any other teams who didn’t make it this year. Congrats to the teams who did make it this year though!!!

@@jordanjordannis2258 the only reason team is popular cause they had been long enough in competition. u must open spot for new marble or else the viewer will be bored with same team over and over, unless they're doing good. and marble with huge fan base such as Limers, team Momo, the Hazers, Greed Ducks, still qualify. yeah, Oceanics and Wisp didnt qualify will be a bit hurt, but nothing we can do. for more team to able to qualify, we need 32 teams system. i don't think Jelle ready for it, considering double production time (which he still often have trouble, like delay etc), and also total team available. prob in 2-3 years we can have 32 team system, i hope

To eliminate uneven pools, here's a suggestion: Top 4 teams from each pool make it, giving 8 automatic qualifiers. Next 4 teams in each pool (8 teams in total) go into a sudden death race where top 4 from that qualify. Not sure if that's what has been done in the past, but agree that the unevenness of the pools is unfair.

if both groups were together jungle jumpers were rank 20 with only 11 points - definitely not qualified (points system of ML and times/points from these events) raspis win at 55, mellow yellow second with 50 (2 wins exactly lol) and indigo stars third with 39. no member of group b is behind the jungle jumpers and only members of group a have single digit points. turtle sliders qualify. bumblebees qualify. midnight wisps qualify. momo are out. rojo rollers are out. chocolatiers are out. oceanics are last with 2 points. 5 teams of group a qualify and 7 of group b, it's fairly even in that regard but overall group b dominates everything: best qualifiers, most qualifiers, not last, in average 4 positions ahead of group a.
