Had reservations about the contrast between marble and stone floors but it’s really going to go together Especially when you told us the animals used that way to exit their coral It keeps the history going 🤩🤩🤩👍👍

Wow, the stone next to the tiles looks even better than I imagined, it’s going to be such a stunning home. Your taste with the stone and whitewash etc is impeccable 👏🏼..can’t believe how quickly Tilly is growing, my little Patterdale Terrier is 9 now and still not much bigger than a cat ha ha 😂…feels like the kitchen isn’t far off now so I’m already in suspense about what is next!…ps, 9.9k subs..very close!..I believe the owld KZbin algorithm starts playing in your favour at 10k, so hopefully the channel will just get bigger and bigger 😀👍

Thank you very much! Yes, the kitchen is getting near to completion but still a fair bit to do. Finish the floor, doors for the cabinets and probably a shelf for the cooker surround, a table and a nice light to go over it, plus the door to the office and of course finish the limewash in the passage - oh and some shelves in there lol. Fingers crossed for 10k and some exponential growth!

Simply MAGNIFICENT work on what is turning out to be a beautiful transition from your marble kitchen floor. Your foresight and patience in moving along to the final vision of what you want is an inspiration for those of us fortunate enough to be able to watch your progress. She's actually quite good on the lead and they are usually quite placid dogs as they get older. We're only taking her on the lead to get her used to it - most of the time she'll be free to wander.

The walls are best left unsealed - It can stop them breathing and cause damp / condensation problems

Thank you. The buildings next to us are pretty much ruins apart from the two smaller ones which are used by our farmer neighbour (and ourselves) for storing farming associated items

Hi both, your place is looking amazing, well done. A couple of questions I was wondering about. 1 those aircon units, will you be able to have re installed? The reason I ask is here in Portugal aircon older than 10 years used a gas that is now illegal here. That means buying secondhand aircon units is high-risk as no installer will fit them. Not sure how nit works there. But I'd be interested to hear how you get on. 2 re all the lovely stone work In your kitchen, as the lime you have used in breathable is it also porous? My thoughts is how to you deal with kitchen varpores like hot oils.and will you impregnate the stonework with cooking residue you can motivate clean away. Or you you have a plan/solution to seal the stone and lime while retaining breathability? Take care D

Thank you. Both the aircons use the current gas and we'll be fitting them ourselves. Sealing the walls will reduce their ability to breathe and in any case we have a big chimney hood above the cooker and everything goes up there

@@EastLondonKiwi The gas was retained in the unit when it was taken out, as they are when they are new. In any case, the friend who gave us the units is a HVAC engineer.
