Marbula One S2: GP3 Honeydome Qualifiers

Hello everyone and welcome to Marbula One Season 2! The Revolution in Marble Racing is finally back, with a new qualifying system, 20 teams, 12 total races and a lot of improvements.
In this new system the 20 teams must compete for one of the 16 spots of the starting grid. Who is going to win the pole for the Honeydome, and along with that an extra point? Please enjoy! #MarbulaOne #M1 #Season2

You could see how Bumble definitely knew how to drive the hive better than anyone else so they were able to hit the turn and a better speed to overtake

Bumble did choke the lead at the penultimate 90* turn to Speedy from the Savage Speeders during the 3rd qualifying race for pole position.

You could definitely see how home field advantage played into this qualifying. Bumble knew exactly how to come off that hive with good speed and hit the turn tighter than their competitors.

I kept my eyes on them in the Hubelino Tournament and they are incredibly solid. With enough refining and experience in the big leagues, they can definitely go marble to marble against the giants like Savage Speeders and O'rangers.

@@Tribow It wasn't even the hive! They came out of the hive in a great position. The problem was that immediately afterwards, they hit one of the wall joints and lost all their speed. They did recover well to hold 5th, but still.

Actually, bumble took the best starting position for the race. Sure, he didn't get pole, but the first turn on this track favors 2nd position, which he got. On other tracks, the direction of the first turn favors pole position, but bumble knows his track and he planned for this exactly. To explain why this is picture the first turn of any track. The first two marbles are almost neck and neck, one is a half-lengths better than the other. (I believe that the 2nd marble is on the left) When the start off, they go down the same ramp, wjth the same initial speed, for the same distance. Once the turn starts (assuming the turn goes to the left) the first marble on the right hits the wall, slows down a tiny bit and then begins following the turn to the left. The marble on the left, because it is slightly more inside the turn, is still accelerating straight ahead when the first marble hits the wall. The first marble is then pushed back to be in-line with the secknd marble, and is pushed left into the second marble(effectively pushing the second marble ahead) A similar thing happens with races where the first turn goes right, but it is all the same idea. The marble who starts on the inside of the first turn gains the initial advantage in the race.

@@YolunSonu1 His technical prowess on turns is unmatched and his straight line speed is top tier, I think only Clementin, Prim, and Hazy can compete on pure speed and quickness. He’s going to always have a rough time with obstacles though, so the Hive could be a problem on this race. That last turn was incredible though.

Wospy has been struggling quite a bit these rounds. I have to worry if something's been going on with him. It's now on Wispy to carry the team and that's a lot of pressure... but I still have faith. We Wisps shine the most in the endgame, after all.

I have to agree... Wospy does not seem to to have there head in the game. Wispy did fall back in the race but did good in qualifying last race... If wospy keeps up this pace the team might need a swich next season as this just pulls down the whole team instead of pushing each other further...

It is a technically demanding obstacle to clear, and provides opportunities to pass competitors unobstructed if you can get to the inside, I think it is a nice skill-based feature

Both the Bumblebees and the Speeders have a lot to prove in tomorrow's race- one to break the host curse and one to redeem their past two races. There's been rumors of Savage Speeders experimenting with buffing before racing. I don't put much stock in it though. Likely garbage spread by the Snowballs to deflect from their own cheating. Everyone knows they play dirty.

@@Suplyndmnd I’m predicting a top 5 finish but I’m hoping for a top 3, but a previous comment made a good point, with the hive sector decreasing top speed and no significant straights snowy can’t show their best quality in the straights
