Now it's time for a completely new track with new features! The 8th Grand Prix of season 3 is hosted by Team Galactic. 20 marble teams will compete at Polaria this time, in the most epic marble racing event of the marble universe!

When Pinkie Panther ran the lap at just over 31 seconds, I figured for sure that was slow and would be easily beat. Was not expecting for no one to even get close! Nobody ran a lap in just 31 seconds. I really like this course, it's definitely different :) Thank you, Jelle's team, and Greg Woods too, for your always engaging commentary.

@@TravisRS Indeed, i would like to see some kind of risky hill shootout, any of the marbles that miss the landing will end up in the lower section of the track and will have to get back up again. Total chaos maybe, but it's fun to have one of those in the championship.

pinkies qualifying first in Q1 was wild because it created this slow dawning horror that no one was gonna beat their time throughout the whole qual. congrats to pinky panther and good luck to them in the race!

Just rewatched that insane 1st run by Panther. Man that was awesome! Not a single inaccuracy on the track. And Panther had the best speed in q2 as well but lacked the moves to overtake at crucial places. Conclusion: on an empty track Panther would just dominate here, but in a race I doubt he'll do well. I don't expect a podium finish. Green Ducks are really having a season to forget. But one day we'll come back, quack-quack-quacking our way to the championship. Just you wait.

I'm a Hazer fan through and through, but I've always had a soft spot for Pinkies just because of how, no offense, bad they were. I've always wanted to see them shine, and prove to everyone that they were worth it - and with this race, I think they have. Running 1st and keeping that spot for the rest of Q1, and then coming 3rd in Q2, beating many powerful players is not something that can be ignored. Hats off to you Pinky Panther, hats off - and next race, make me proud.

hell of a Q1 qualifying time for the Panther, and first one out of the gate as well! very impressive... but when it comes to actually competing against other marbles on the track, the Pinkies still have a long ways to go up to someone like the Crazy Cats' Eyes; some of those passes by Red Eye in Q2 were buttery smooth

The pinkies need a win to have a chance at surviving to have a chance to race in M1 next season. They are 34 points baack from staying up. CCE is competing for a title, but the panthers need a spark to have a chance at staying up.

That Q1 lap by Pinky Panther is a Bob Beamon moment. Like something from another planet. For reference: Red Eye in 2nd was closer to Alpine in 10th than to Pinky Panther in 1st

As a galactic fan, this track was a nice surprise. Galactic usually lets me down, but seeing as we have arguably the best track in Marbula 1 all but makes up for it

You can just take your hat off for that Q1 lap from Pinky Panther. That was an absolute blow-out lap and it clearly shook the rest of the field out of sorts. There are a couple of clear points in the lap that will be the bottleneck for some of the marbles. There's the attenuator in the first sector, the hairpin with the attenuator just before the tubes in the second sector (we saw quite a few marbles jump the attenuator to the outside line, because clearly the approach to the corner coming out of the tubes is better there) and finally the crazy amount of 90 degrees corners. This is clearly a track where the marbles will have to be on the top of their performance levels and concentration to make sure they race is best as they can on this technical track.

And just gutted after picking up the Sliders as my second team after their win last week, they managed to run another two seconds behind my Bolts in Q1. It's the curse of teams I like. Momo and Aryp finished right next to each other in both Q1 and Q2, making the ranking tower read "MOM ARY." I think it's obvious that these two would like a flashback to 2018 - perhaps to get away from their weaker teammates, especially in Aryp's case.

I love the design of some of these tracks and the Stardust Accelerator has some unique features that makes it stand out. I just hope the tubes won't see several marbles get stuck as they all try to push through! I finally was able to spot Roldo this time. It's just a handful of times when I've been able to see him to the point where I thought he didn't exist!

Considering the huge gap in lap times, this race could have a BUNCH of major position changes, fastest laps, maybe even see a marble get lapped at some point. It may be the race where starting position makes the least difference to final results.

After watching just Pinky Panther, I knew this course would be awesome, and I can't wait to see how this goes in Q2 and the GP! Some more thoughts: despite the deceptively slow third sector, this looks like it will be a fun race. Also, Starry climbing 4 places in Q2 is a great way to get the home crowd energized for the race. Lastly, my favorite team, The Oceanics, is not part of M1 this season, but watching the o'rangers miss Q2 still feels just as sweet.

What a tricky and unique track! My number 2 team is on pole, but again my number one team didn't do so well in quali. Hopefully he can make progress from 12th like he's done so far this season!
