Man, that collision with the first attenuator was, dare I say, catastrophic for Red Eye. And then with this track being the marble equivalent of Monaco (not many good places to pass), I'm rather surprised he managed to get 8th. Couldn't get past Wuspy for longer than a few seconds though. Grats to Billy and the Green Ducks! That was an incredible race. I hope it's a sign of things to come.

Probably the biggest culprit of there not being anywhere to pass is the wormholes. First they're too narrow to pass anyone on your own side in so if you want to pass there you have to take the other side. The problem with that? The inside lane is completely useless. The little flick thing at the end might catch an outside marble if they steer too hard toward it, but it's impossible for inside marbles to avoid hitting it, being sent into the wall, and losing all of their momentum. So you've got this huge section of track that you cannot pass on unless your opponent screws up.

@@bolbyballinger Yes I agree, they should have put a attenuator at the end of the wormholes to justify the inside lane. This way the marble that exited wormholes on the inside, could have a better run from being on the outside on the next corner after the left hander right after the wormholes. The track has great features but ruins overall flow in some many places because of akward placed features and pointless paths.

If you look closely at some certain moment such as 2:47 where pinkies panther got passed by speedy at the entrance, or at 3:17 where smoggy pass clutter inside the tube, you will relize they can pass each other even on the same side But yeah, the inner lane do have disadvantage coming out of the tube

I am devastated as an O'rangers fan, we went from hero to zero real fast, and we're now in shambles. That start really killed us as the O'rangers are historically bad at starts, and it didn't help that it was so hard to pass and we got tossed around all race, and the fact that Orangin kept taking the inside in the wormholes... Another example of pole position not being desirable at all, depending on the first turn‘s direction. I have seen a lot of pole marbles fall back due to a bump or a turn. Second is much more valuable for winning the race.

I really did lose hope when Billy got a really low starting position, but he has proven that it isn't the main thing. Well, as I predicted, those "wormholes" were a neat idea, but they don't really work in a race. If you enter behind a slower marble, you cannot pass them and in fact are held back. If another marble that is faster than the one in front of you is in the other tunnel, they end up passing you both. Not a fan of that overall, though it did make for some interesting overtakes. And hey, look at that! Smoggy finally decided to show up! Hope they can talk to Hazy so Hazers don't fall right back down the standings next week.

I think the wormholes are a neat feature and they are pretty cool, I dont think they are bad by themselves. I feel the issues we had was more about track design and poorly placed features creating pointless harder and slower paths that were just bad to take (inside lane of wormholes). The inside lane of the pipes being slower than the easier outside one and also at the end of the wormhole section in the inside having a attenuator that causes marbles from inside lane lose a lot of momemntum just made everything feel pretty akward than rewarding. I feel each path should have a way of rewarding the marble who took it, and at least make the path that is harder to take faster than the easier one.

I think less obstacles and more speed. I’d rather my O’rangers get beat by another marble’s speed. I think that builds rivalries, but when my marble is just running in medians and losing all momentum idk its not fun anymore. Also I think that you should have both racers from each team on the track and to deal with the issue of losing teams make a second league where you can get promoted out of and into marbula one, have it be marbula two or AM. They run the same track the same week, but the top 3 or 5 teams at the end of the season replace the bottom 3 or 5 teams in marbula one. I know that is a lot, but it be like a race weekend. I really enjoy your content. It was awesome seeing you on ESPN The Ocho.

I thought this course would be hard to overtake because the tube is too narrow, but look at 3:14; the best overtaking in the tube(as one spectator and as one Hazers' fan.) This season is tough for Hazers since Hazy is in slump, so Smoggy would be more eager to win than other seasons. I think crossing the split through the hairpin is actually the fastest consistent way through. The wide line is a longer distance and scrubs off too much speed due to spending more time in contact with the walls. The narrow line gets through the corner faster, but feeds marbles into a very tricky entry into the left tunnel, which we saw a lot of marbles get slowed down on, negating the slightly faster corner speed. Crossing the split gives marbles an easy line into the right tunnel, which is easier to maintain momentum into. The hypothetically ideal line is to take the inside and get a perfect entry to the left tunnel, but as far as I could tell, none of the marbles were able to do that consistently.

Unfortunately an almost shockingly bad performance of Starry, this after complaining about Cosmo for a long time, Starry dropped the marble here. Great track though, and to counter some people's complaints about Pole position being a downside, maybe the teams would have to be more strategic on the qualifications, anticipate the track's first corner and try to qualify on the outer row.

Ouch. I get that not everyone can keep a steady top performance streak going, but not only was that dreadful for Orangin, but we couldn't keep it competitive with the Crazy Cats Eyes. Got to shake this off and move on though. #GOOOOOOOOOOOOORANGERS

That was a tough track!! I like the technicality of it and that the marbles have to adapt their racing strategy ;D I believe that was Orangin's worst placement this year, wasn't it? Unfortunate either way, losing points in the championship!

The production on this one feels a bit rushed. It would have been nice to see some replays of critical moments, or passes/overtakes that allowed a marble to advance positions (or that cost a marble positions). The pole sitter, for example, dropped all the way to 17th and somehow managed to steadily pass other marbles and climb all the way to an 8th place finish. No idea how that happened, and it might have been the most interesting part of the race, considering that there were no changes in the top 3 after the mid-point of the race.

The production value of these is amazing! From the course design, the backgrounds, the camera work, the timekeeping, the stories and of course the commentary that helps engage the imagination keep up the good work and Up the O’rangers!

I think literally everyone except CCE fans was happy when they immediately dropped from pole to 17th Man Starry that was not it… we finally get our home race and you decide to have your worst race of the season? At least we're still 5th I guess

Being a Green Ducks fan my whole marble watching career, it has been painful, but I'm glad to finally see them come through
