Marbula One: Savage Speedway GP (S1R1) - Marble Race by Jelle's Marble Runs

The first marble RACE of the brand new Marbula One! (Formula 1 for marbles) This weekend, our racers will have to master the course of the Savage Speeders, the Savage Speedway! AFTER THE PREMIERE this will become just a normal video!

I've watched a couple other marble channels where they have races like this and (1) the commentating is not up to Greg's standards, and (2) the tracks are too narrow and don't allow a lot of position changes like Jelle's tracks do. This is a superior product! Well done.

Hazy did an amazing job today. He hazers’ speed is really exceptional, and their tactic seems to be working out with working their speed up using the jump as well as they can and by cutting the turns as sharp as possible. Their blocking game was a little bit weak, but Hazy’s long-term potential has really come out in this race, with the distance growing between the competiors. Hazers have to be careful with the more tight tracks, and there are still some space to improve but we can be absolutely happy with this result. #HAZEAMAZE

The O’rangers’ performance in this race reminded me of their performance in the 2019 Marbleympics; seemed promising, then sucked, then came back to make *something* of it, and finished just behind the Savage Speeders.

There was a pretty major error by the O'rangers at the end of lap 2 where Clementin fell off the conveyor and lost 4-5 places. I was pissed!

As a Hazers fan, this race was incredibly fun to watch, because even when the Hazers weren't onscreen during the first half, I can tell by the track layout that incidental advantage actually lead to HUGE position changes. That's really cool! Sucks to be a Secondary Hornets fan though, and I will never not feel bad for the Limers. (But it was nice to see the Raspberry Racers not place top 5, full bias)

I cant believe that im saying this, but i think that this would benefit from multiple cameras in sections of the track with cuts from one section to the next, just like f1 rather than a wide shot that pans around following the lead group. I say this because it will further draw in the viewer to the idea that this is a high stakes race and add the illusion of size. The wide angle pan betrays that the setting is small and forces us to views the best moments from the Goodyear blimp rather than the camera crane in turn 5. I say this with much love and i am blown away by what this has accomplished already. The grandstands are amazing, the dominoes are a wonderful touch! I love it so much. I'll be back every video to watch marbula 1!
