Not gonna lie... I'm too afraid to ride carbon bars. I've just always ridden alloy bars and it's something I trust. I feel like I might crash the bike and not replace the bars w/o knowing they're compromised and then when hitting a rock or jump they'll just fail.

I work at a bike shop in Ontario Canada and I would love to see Connor Fearon's DH race bike. Kona's site says he's on a Supreme Operator but the paint on the bike he rides in videos and races looks like the Operator 27.5 which is alloy. It would be super interesting to know if it is an Operator with custom paint or if he is riding an alloy bike just because the Carbon bike is a 26. 27.5 all the way

Hey Marc! I do have a question about that beeeeeautiful Gambler. How is the ride for stuff at bike parks? I heard from a different Gambler owner that they really excel in racing but kind of give a rough ride for just normal park riding? What would you say? Thanks!

+Ben Battista , I bought a Gambler-710 this year. I took it to Whistler, SilverStar, KickingHorse, Panorama and some local stuff in Edmonton Alberta. This bike is like nothing I've ever rode before. I HIGHLY recommend this bike. My skills (and courage) went up 10 fold. I've taken lines that I have passed on before. It can take any steep rocky rough technical terrain effortlessly...and jumps....oh boy, like it has wings. The geometry of the bike makes you feel like you're bolted too it. I've been moto-whipping with it all summer. Last year on my bang'd up Kona I never felt in control.

@silversurfing20789 жыл бұрын
What would you recommend as a first mountain bike? I am looking to get into the sport but I don't want to spend an insane amount of money just for the bike. I don't think I need a hardcore downhill mountain bike (although they look amazing) because I want a bike that can handle well on the trail and then take me home on the street. What is the best type of mountain bike for me and what is the best reasonably priced brand and model? I saw another youtube video that said you should spend 400-600 US dollars on your first mountain bike (not including upgrades and accessories). I was hoping I could stay in this range when purchasing my bike. I would really appreciate hearing from you guys and what your opinion is on my situation.
@matthewbradshaw80179 жыл бұрын
Spending a tad more like 700 will get you onto an entry level bike with hydraulic disk brakes, reasonable drivetrain and a better trail specific geometry than cheaper bikes
@thomaskanzian19 жыл бұрын
+Silver Surfing I'd deffinitely go for an used enduro bike, it should do the job on the trails perfectly and they look cool too I think! If you spend some time on some forums and stuff you should find a cheap bike in pretty good condition I think. Good luck! (Sorry for some grammar mistakes if existing, I'm from Austria)

@gmbn9 жыл бұрын
+Joel Dempsey Hi Joel, I spend a lot of time over the winter building up explosive power in my legs, and when the time does come to sprint in race runs I aim to have a lot of momentum coming into the sprint so I don't feel like I'm pushing too high a gear. Also - hopefully the sprint sections of races still have a gradient so I just keep accelerating. Cheers!
