And 'David Bowie' was the godfather of Marc's son and when Marc died, David Bowie took care of him (monetary) honouring his mate. This made me love Bowie even more. Bowie & Bolan shared a room together whilst both trying to make it big. The magic began.

I wrote love messages in those dungarees. My friends and I used to go over regularly to Alkasura where Marc had most of his clothes made. John the shop owner thought it would be a blast for us to write positive love messages to Marc on the in side of the material, as he would be wearing them on TOTP's singing Metal Guru. We wrote things like Good luck Marc, I love you, T.Rex are Great etc, in black permanent ink. However when Marc turned up for the fitting the messages became visible when he stood in the light. John said he was really angry.. John had to get them made up again really quickly which he did and Marc wore them on TOTP'S singing Metal Guru so all was O.K John said later Marc saw the funny side. The things we did. So So sad about John's death so awful what happened. He was really lovely, his shop was the best on The Kings Road. I loved going there, he always let us browse around for hours even if we had no money to buy anything, god how times have changed now. XXX

The way the she handles the tape makes me sick to my stomach,She just tears the paper off and then sets the tape aside like it isn't that important to keep it in the best condition possible. If he had no intention of selling these Pricless items why,oh why did he risk taking them out in that massive crowd and the elements? I would have them locked up where no one could touch them ( not to be greedy but to keep them safe).
@TRextasyOfficial4 жыл бұрын
Suspended Vaspertine I took the tape to get a general price of worth. I have dozens of tapes like this, I bought them for a small fortune to keep them all safe. But for insurance purposes a price must be sought.

I've known the original since June 1970. And this impersonator (I don't know him) is the closest thing there is today. Height, weight, chin, eyes, nose, of course the hair: 70 - 80%. Of course he is older. Millions around the world are of the same opinion. Perhaps you have the rare disease of impaired obtic awareness?...

sexyknickers0 Don’t be so bloody stupid. Don’t come out with slanderous comments like this unless you know what you’re talking about. Marc’s family are friends of mine, as are ex-members of the band. I bought the dungarees from Sotheby’s - Marc’s Estate sold them! The tape was sold by a producer in Northampton after the 1980s fanclub lost their rights and sold all the tapes!

@@TRextasyOfficial What I'd like to know is if the infamous riff is original or an adaptation. Columbia/EMI previously recorded Singaporean artist Rita Chao with The Quests (including guitarist Reggie Verghese). The opening 14 seconds of their 1967 cover of 'Hanky Panky' may drop a couple jaws. I'm just surprised no one else has (apparently) noticed this. Realistically, it doesn't seem *remotely* likely Marc Bolan would have heard this 1967 EP/album track during T Rex's mini-tour in Japan between November 28, 1972 - December 4, 1972. '20th Century Boy' was recorded at a 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM session on December 3, 1972 in Toshiba Recording Studios in Tokyo, Japan. I too am surprised the EMI master tapes for a #3 charting single was previously owned by a producer (Tony Visconti???). Or is it simply one of numerous first generation copies of the master tapes ('Production Master') provided to affiliates worldwide for local production of records? **Sorry to question this** If it's the TRUE master tape I'd like to know how that came into the possession of the fan club, then the unnamed producer. I would have hoped EMI would have purchased the tape back so it could be housed in a temperature and humidity controlled environment for long-term preservation. Though, are they still doing that?
