OH YEA!!! I had the pleasure of meeting Marc Cohn years ago. He was my favorite artist at the time and I flew to the SF Bay Area to see the show. A gal saw me trying to look backstage and said, "Want to borrow my backstage pass?"(Not kidding!) So I walked backstage and saw him and said hello and that I came to see his show. He said "Cool man, want some coffee?" So we sat at a table and talked about music for like ten minutes and then he asked if I wanted to watch the show from the side of the stage and I did! He sounded awesome like always, and he's just an absolutely fantastic person, honestly one of the nicest and kindest people I've ever met. Gotta love the guy like another brother I hope he's doing really well.

Thanks Marc for such a great song...I played and sang this to support a church youth fund raiser and it was well received by young and old alike. Many told me that this was one of their all-time favorite songs. I emulated the live version..wasn't Marc but I think I was able to do it justice...

I love Mark Cohn and loved this song from the first time I ever heard it. Brings back great memories when I lived close to Memphis and hung out there often. I cannot listen to this song without just aching to go back for awhile. : )

This song makes me tear up every time I hear it. I can't quite decide if it is because of Marc Cohn's fabulous voice, the lyrics, the tune, or how so heartfelt it feels. Probably all of the above.

i travelled from the UK to see Marc. I'd have paid 3 times over, his band. his personality are so much greater than this record. Shayne and the lads had so much time for us. Then I met my hero of 20 years - Marc - just a true gent. I will never forget that night!

First , this guy is an entertainer , and this is rare. Second , the true mark of this song... everyone sounds good singing ' Walking in Memphis ' Some sound better but everyone sounds good. MC captured a time , a feeling , the essence of a place. Maybe , b/c I've never been , I'm guessing ! Bravo , Monsieur Cohen
