I'll never forget being in my car smoking a bowl and listening to XYZ in the parking lot of Moby Grape in Las Vegas and Marc, Pat and Mitch the road manager came up to my car and asked who I was listening to, I said XYZ and Marc said yeah, that's us. Hi Marc, My name is Lorenzo and I'm a 53-year-old guitar player from Italy. I've been a fan of yours for as long as I can remember, and I still listen to XYZ's albums all the time. Your music has always been a source of inspiration for me, and I've learned so much from listening to your playing. I've been playing guitar for over 35 years now, and I still aspire to be as good as you someday. Your solos and riffs are so incredibly creative and expressive, and they always blow me away. I'm so grateful for the emotion and joy that your music has brought into my life.I know you're probably busy, but I just wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for your incredible talent. You're one of the greatest guitarists of all time, and I'm so proud to be a fan. Thank you for everything. Lorenzo

I used "Inside Out" to demo my Klipsch KLF-30s w/DefTech Trinity sub system to a friend and former coworker from the Audio/Video biz..He is younger than me and there was always a friendly old vs new school rivalry going on between us. Well, he was astonished by the performance, and your guitar work has a lot to do with that. Thank you!

This is classic hard rock boys & girls, perfect riff & lead break from Marc, with Terry, Paul and Pat also doing the business, this is a great, great track, more people should know about XYZ, hard rock with class, style & balls! I appreciate those first 2 albums, they are gold to me, I purchased the remastered self titled album a couple of years back, sounds stellar! I remember checking this band out when I read in a UK metal/rock magazine Don Dokken was producing the first album, I'm a massive Dokken/Lynch fan, so I had to check this band out, I was not disappointed, mega stuff! 19 when I bought the first album, 53 now & still listening, & that's not gonna change. Thank you so much for these videos Marc, please keep entertaining your fans with your playing & stories, much respect bro. Cheers

I played it better than I thought all those years. Thanks brother. I used the video and some lame ass tabs because the band had to have this 2 weeks after it was out. I struggled a bit with the solo since I don't tap at all. I managed to muddle through it and frankly no one noticed in those days. Perhaps a few guitarists crunched their noses. But as long as girls were swinging and butt was moving it was all good Great playing bro, from one to another.

I remember you were endorsing Peavey at that time, the Vandenberg signature, VTM120 amps and 412ms & 412m cabinets just like Adrian, and that's more or less what I've been playing for all these years as well. :) Just a couple of pedals and THE sound is there! Thanks for clearing up that part with the bottleneck! I used the edge of my pick or nails on my right hand like a kitten on the neck to achieve some of that same effect! ;D Salutations de Norvège

The using of a glass slide as a percussive way to get the chords to sound out is something I don't think has been done in any actual song. I had the video on VHS for decades and always knew there was no way he was just tapping with his fingers the way it appears in the music video from 1989.
