Great little video. Overmars is probably the best 1 vs 1 player I've seen since supporting Arsenal, maybe only TT could be considered better in those positions than Overmars. He was so explosive and aggressive, always wanting to take his fullback on. Also pretty sure he had a 1 in 3 scoring ratio which was great.

Alexander Hleb was underrated at that..one of the best dribblers in Europe during the emirates era..unfortunately Barca stole all of them ..lol

@@sherjeelrmalik great shout. Hleb was an incredible dribbler, always able to take on multiple players, get out of impossible situations... But very frustrating regarding his end product. Not so fast and explosive though. It may sound strange... But I'd also mention Gervinho. Yeah, Gervinho. One of the strongest 1 on 1 players I've seen in Arsenal shirt. Superstrong dribbler, absolutely incredible pace and acceleration... Incredibly explosive. Stamina too, always full of energy. His end product was very poor, passing and link up even worse, I think that's why people overlook how ridiculously strong he was in 1 on 1s. At one point at the start of his first season (2011/12), we were playing very bad and he was our main weapon in that period, beating his fullback and making low crosses/passes into the penalty area. Was ridiculously dominant in Serie A with Roma, but also made some great runs and dribbles (a few incredible goals) in his comeback with Parma a couple of years ago.

Yeah agree..1 vs 1 if you don't finish is seen as useless...This is why Iwobi was released..he was a great ball carrier but as soon as he got in final third he was lost

Do you know what is also forgotten about Hleb was how not only was he great going forward but he had a fantastic engine and helped out his fullback loads. In the season where we had both him and Rosicky (fully fit) we were solid down the flanks, just didn't have the firepower down the middle.

He averaged a goal every 3.5 games for arsenal, plus plenty of assists. Also a big part of one the best ajax teams ever, and solid for a top netherlands team. Think you're underestimating him just a tad there
