As much as I'm a monstrous fan of Jerry, I always had reservations due to certain stories I've heard. Hearing him say that analogy about the cards in hopper, I regained total adoration for him. He's spot on. I consider myself basically a good person, yet I've done bad things. I've been very generous, yet very stingy. Very warm, yet very cold, very tolerant, yet very stubborn, true to my word, yet a liar.....and so on. I'll never forget what he said here.

I have loved Jerry Lewis for fifty of my sixty four years. He was a complete entertainer. Comic, singer, dancer, fine dramatic actor and above all a great humanitarian. He definitely had faults as all human beings have As far as being a good father, no one has the right to judge him unless you walked in his shoes. As far as his will is concerned, children, grandchildren ect should not expect an inheritance from their parents. It is something that is earned through loyalty and love. So all the critics out there should get a life and be concerned with your own actions, and let Mr. Lewis's memory speak for itself.

I honestly wish I could believe everything coming out of Jerry’s mouth! Unfortunately, I’ve heard very negative rumors over the years and since I’v always been a huge fan, I wanted to put these rumors to rest in my mind! After doing considerable “Due Diligence”, I discovered that the rumors about Jerry were mostly true! He was a Horrible husband to his first wife and a terrible Father to his kids! Before he died, he cut his first wife and all of his kids from his first wife out of his will! He left his $50 million estate to his second wife and their adopted daughter! He also has a daughter out of wedlock who is Homeless which he refuses to help in any way! I’ve seen her in several interviews and she stated that Jerry knows of her situation but, refuses to help her! NICE GUY! In this Country, we worship our “Hollywood Idols” without truly understanding who theses people are “Off The Silver Screen”! We’re in Love with the Movie Star and not the True Individual! SAD!

His family problems have nothing to do with his authenticity in this interview. You’re judging him on things you know nothing about. We have no idea what their family dynamic was. He may have been awful to them but who knows what kind of family he has. I have grandparents so evil and cousins who steal from their parents ..there are some in my family who would call me every name in the book because i cut them out of my life. They’re horrible people. Jerry may have been a bad father, but getting outrage and shitting on the guy when he can’t defend himself is petty and childish. We’re here to enjoy a movie star we loved to watch ..none of us are perfect and can’t imagine what it must have been like to be Jerry Lewis. Everyone constantly wanting something from him. If you’re gonna cry over a homeless woman who has every opportunity in this country to get back on her feet with the programs we offer. Eviction protection, loans, carefirst, food stamps. Stop blaming those who are successful for others peoples failures. Get some talent , than you can judge him.

Jerry has the characteristics of a masked sociopathic narcissist. He couldn't help it as most can't. We can also see him getting frighteningly manic after the14 minutes mark and strikes me as someone who would go much further if there were no cameras to record it. He used to be a hero of mine as a kid but thankfully with mass media we can increasingly see our hero's in another way and you're correct when you say none of us are perfect but that still doesn't mean we have to continue to praise or like such personality disorders.

Jerry was a beautiful human being. He did so many wonderful things if only people would take time to really read and study this man. He had an ego I believe but who wouldn't? He was only 20 when he rocketed to stardom overnight with Dean Martin. Of course he had an ego. The man had more talent than anybody in Hollywood ever. And all I hear is " he left his children out of his will". So tired of that! Those kids were grown men when Jerry died and from everything I've read already had their inheritance. And the homeless daughter? If she is indeed Jerry's daughter then she has had ample opportunity to get on her feet but to be honest, it's more profitable for her to remain homeless. And THAT is NOT Jerry's fault

His public image is a facade. If you dig deeper, you will find that behind the scenes he was a jerk, treated a lot of people badly, starting with his family.
