How blessed you are to be jamming with your Dad. Wish I had those memories with my dad. He was an opera singer and performer in some off Broadway Operas. He was a powerful singer. Unfortunately I didn't grow up with him.😢. I've been playing guitar and performing for over 50 years now. I have 4 kids.. Hope one day that my kids and I can do this. Count your blessing Marc. You have a rare treasure with your dad that money cannot buy..❤

"Rolling down the road, going nowhere, Guitar packed in a trunk Somewhere around mile marker 1-12, Papa started hummin' the funk I gotta jones in my bones before they know, We were singing this melody Stop the car pulled out the guitar, Halfway to New Orleans Said take me home Take me home Could feel the sun about to rise, When I realized we had nothing to fear It's just me and my daddy and a kid named Cope, Making music that nobody would hear And then the sun let up and it split the night, Spillin' over our jubilee Ten thousand cars by the side of the road, Groovin' far as the eye can see Said take me home Take me home Said take me home Said take me home This Greyhound is delta bound mama, Baby boy finally found, Said this Greyhound is delta bound mama, Baby boy done finally found his way home Said take me home Here we go, Hot damn you should have felt the groove, Like I was swimming in a sea of soul The sun was rising and the day was hot, And we was all about to lose control My daddy turned his face up towards the sky, And I knew that there was nothing to lose I felt the crowd breathe in and I closed my eyes, And we disappeared into the groove Said take me home Said take me home Take me home Said take me home Straight from the water Straight from the water, children Straight from the water Straight from the water, children Straight from the water Straight from the water, children Straight from the water You don't know nothin' about this Take me home Said take me home Said take me home Said take me home Said take me home Said take me home Said take me home take me home Said take me home Said take me home

I saw Marc play a small Navy club in Okinawa Japan around 2007 or 08.. They burned a cd of the show for everyone in the crowd that night. An amazing show.. the saddest thing on earth is I lost that cd between then and now. Man I'd love to have that back

Man I remember one of the best memories of my life was going to see Gavin DeGraw at La Hacienda in El Paso, Tx many moons ago (2004) and seeing a a young Marc Broussard and Toby Lightman. I remember thinking to myself, who the heck is this guy? But little did I know I’d have the Carencro album in CD by the end of the night (still have it). The artists are my drug and their music is my high. And Gavin was a gateway to Marc, Toby and many others. Also I was like 15-16 years old and was my very first concert/show.
