Klaus and Elijah were both better leaders than Marcel in fact you could argue that all the Mikealsons were better leaders than him and you can't actually be stupid enough to think Marcel is a good leader considering he buried his people alive, tricked and forced them into obeying him with the promises of daylight rings and rushed them to their deaths for nothing while he tried to steal a throne that doesn't belong to him. Who that has followed Marcel has ever survived? In fact it was Marcel's stupidity and arrogance that killed the army in 1x21 as well Josh in 5x10 so no he is not a good leader and Diego who was loyal to him has even said that Elijah is a better leader than Marcel in 1x18 and since Klaus is a better leader than Elijah do the math from that alone. Klaus and Elijah were much better rulers than Marcel who didn't build anything he just stole and destroyed. That community of vampires were naive children and racists who didn't know better than to follow him and they abandoned him very easily with Diego even calling him out as a coward in 1x18 and saying that he will have to fight him since he failed them as a leader and Elijah was better at rulling. Klaus and the Mikealsons had a much bigger, more powerful and more loyal community of vampires alone much less the united community they built. While Marcellus's people only followed him because he tricked or forced them and we're pretty much uselles giving him attitudes after failing to keep an eye on a naive 16 year old Davina in 1x4 and abandoned him easily Klaus's vampires in 1766 followed him so bravely and with such loyalty that they struggled to impress him and told him to sit back and not get his hands dirty in his castle while they go and fight for him against the terrifying Mort Vivants who were insanely powerful and dangerous back when they didn't know anything about them even after he said he would lead the charge. When has anyone who followed Marcel offered him that degree of loyalty? Name a scene? Klaus is the king he had loyalty of a much greater class than Marcel I mean have you seen Greta Martin and Maddox? They were litteraly willing to sell out their own families for Klaus without a second thought and considered him the new order where as Marcel's closest man killed on of his vampires for nothing, hundreds of them he buried in the garden for being disloyal supposedly and those so called loyal vamps of his chose to follow Klaus over him by trying to stop him from taking Davina in 1x11 even though Klaus gave Marcel the same authority. Don't make such false statements Marcel is one of the worst and most deluded leaders in all of vampire media and he was never more than a spoiled prince given way too much power. As for Klaus leading the community well he led it better than Marcel for starters and he had other ideas which he discarded them for and even then it was better than being ruled by Marcel who buried them alive and failed to rule them.

Klaus was a much better leader than Marcel I mean you can't argue otherwise unless you read the originals the rise, the loss and the ressurection which show how Klaus built New Orleans from scratch and his people litteraly worshipped him as a god and fought to impress him and show off without being brats about it where as Marcel's men such as Diego showed him attitude when they weren't even capable of watching a naive 16 year old girl for 1 night. Diego who was once loyal to Marcel refused to follow him again until Theirry's death and even said himself that Elijah is a better leader than him and that Marcel is a coward. And guess what 2 things 1 Klaus is a better leader than Elijah which automatically makes him better than Marcel as well and 2 Diego eventually decided to join him only out of revenge for Thierry not because of good leadership and he died for nothing pointlessly like a coward running in a war he had no chance in. On top of all this Marcel's lack of good leadership skills is evident by episode 21 where he brought his army of less armed vampires than in 1x8 into enemy territory and left them to fight and lose easily against an original that they lost to before while he thought he could take Klaus alone and his whole army died while he was only spared by Klaus's mercy. And let me tell you what the originals achieved in the loss during an attack against their people when they were after being poisoned attacked from all sides by Mort Vivants who were insanely powerful and harder to kill than the terminator and guess what Klaus didn't fall to his knees and pledge allegiance to their leader like Marcel did to Klaus without even fighting himself he instantly got up and rounded up a division to lead on one side of the fight himself while his siblings took the other sides and they despite at the times not knowing how to kill the Mort Vivants due to not fighting them before while also being unarmed and vastly outnumbered as well as weakened from being poisoned still won that battle and made the all powerful witches retreat where as Marcel couldn't even beat the warewolves without the witches help. I mean no matter what you say the originals are much better war generals to have on your side than Marcel and your far more likely to gain power and win with them as your leaders than Marcel who failed everyone he ever led.
