The fact that Freya does it so easily like it's nothing is so amusing and the strix had to make plans against her cause they know what she can do🤣 Stefan was shocked when Freya snaps Lucien, a thousand yr old vampire that she easily took down. I bet Stefan hasn't seen any witch snap vampires as old as the originals that easily

The reason why other witched in New orleans seemed so strong is because their magic was already being anchored by the ancestors. As Marcel stated that ancestral witches anchors the whole city. Freya does not, due to her status as a mikaelson. The ancestors hate the mikaelsons so why should they anchor for Freya's spell, this is the reason why she needed vampires to channel most of the time so that she can generate more magic and whenever she uses that much magic, it won't harm her because the anchor can take the damage and vampires heal quickly so they have no problem of Freya using them. In tvd, Esther seemed weaker than she was in TO.. that's because she was, and then when she was buried in New orleans, she became an ancestral nola witch. Thus allowing her to use the dead witches as an anchor. Also the first time Freya didn't use an anchor for a massive spell is in season 3 last episode. She linked all her siblings life to Klaus while casting the pseudo immortality spell that Dahlia use. The difference is as long as Klaus is alive, no harm can be done to their body while sleeping. She also created a chambre de chasse to keep her and her siblings together. 3 massive spells and she did that on her own, she started to bleed like Bonnie because she's using too much of her magic, that wouldn't have happened if she used an anchor. Not to mention she almost ripped Lucien's heart when he was an upgraded original if only the ancestors hadn't intervened. Freya almost killed a creature stronger than an original.
