I've been in love with this piece for 50 years. What a wonderful organist! I'd love to hear a Hauptwerk like that in a big church, like mine.

I think the tempos are PERFECT.

This piece, from what I can tell judging by recordings, is way too often blazed through with what may be astounding accuracy, but either bad taste in - or NO attention to - phrasing, touch, and timing. Thank you for this accurate playing! The lines are musical, vocal, and settled.

Nice performance and the registration is also fine. And now I saw that this is played on a Hauptwerk organ. Mmm... Ok. Well... I like the original ofcourse.

Je ne suis pas certain que la registration soit la plus appropriée à partir de la deuxième variation...

Bravo! Chapeau!! But you have to play that on a real organ!!! This Music is to profoundly to play it on a "radio", although this is very good and expensive radio.....

I think your comments are unfair. Many of us have no ability to hear a live pipe organ. With a good sound system we can approximate a live performance. I think listening to a well recorded CD or UTube is as close to live as is possible.

If you would have taken your time.. it would have been perfect. M. D. gave this great work to us… to enjoy not just to play correctly. Otherwise, beautifully done. And yet as you learn to take your time you will learn to …. have a little fun with it. It is an archetype. Marcel knew this. What a great teacher he was. Listen. As you get older you'll understand the fun of it. Have fun with it! Sent with love.. CVD.

I saw a Jazz Trio perform it... It was brilliant.

Please dont pay attention to the previous negative comment... your tempo was spot on, your articulation impeccable and phrasing and general execution exquisite and inspiring. I also appreciate your pedaling style, which is similar to what I learned many years ago from a descendant of Andre Marchal, a contemporary of Marcel Dupre who utilized both feet as a unit and the heels as pivots, as opposed to the more common practice of tip-toing on the pedal board and only pivoting on the heels when playing black keys. Bravo!!
