When Simon chooses the song for Marcelito - he was expecting that Marcelito won't make it !!! But Marcelito did an amazing performance and he beat it ... So to cover up Simon's lie - Simon says that Marcelito chooses the song to sing that night because he knew well that Marcelito will not fight back because he sign the Silence Contract or else - he will be fine ... But you can see on Marcelito faces that he was sad - just look at Mercilito's eye when Simon was talking about it ...

Yes, you're true, there was a video of Marcelito Pomoy explaining that simon chose a song for him, He's not allow to choose his own song, but he deleted it bcoz a lot of viewers complaining about simon, they said simon want marcelino to lose the championship round. You nailed it, Drew! Greed is always behind any person's manipulative actions. I've watched many talent shows including The American Idol and it has been my belief that other than the audition songs picked by the contestants, every song that they perform in the show afterwards are selected by the show producer/s or sometimes by the judges themselves based on their own words. It was so fake and pretentious of Simon to say Marcelito picked the song himself. Marcelito is definitely a Champion. As for simon..... he deserved to be called all the lowly despicable names that he derserves.

Thank you so much for your comments. I love and admire you for your defense of Marcelito and for being an open minded person. I am now your avid fan. Marcelito also apologized to his fans all over the world saying although he wanted to sing the songs being requested of him, he couldn't do anything. He will just do the best he could to sing not for him, but for all his fans. He also said he felts the song AGT wanted him to sing is not for competition. I was in tears when I saw him sad and he seemed to burst into tears towards the end of his song. I was and is still so heartbroken for him. To think that he said if he wins he will share his winnings to the poorest homeless children in the Philippines, is devastating. He was homelesss too when he was only 7 years until his adulthood and no one was there to guide him. Those poor children was looking forward to see Marcelito wins. So sad. God bless you Drew. BTW, I'm also a loyal fan of Jennifer Hudson.

The clip was doctored. They wanted to repeat his comments. This way we the viewers stay lost and not clued in the what is going on. The longer it looked the Marcelito and Angelina was in the show the more we would watch so the repeat the clip so we are not able to tell what really happened and we keep watching. AGT get more ratings and views.

I totally agree with you in regards to what Simon said to the very talented Jennifer Hudson back in American Idol. It was brutal & my jaw dropped with the comment Simon uttered toward JH. When Dream Girl came along & when she won an award, i was so ecstatic & the comment of Simon popped into my head. I was like, eat that Simon, your word that is. JD’s success & award was her revenge. Honestly, Marcelito don't have time to prepare since they flew to america. His wife (which is also his manager) told about it in an interview. She did all the things that need to he submitted without letting marecelito know because he has the tendency to back out. He told marcelito about it 2 days before they flew for america. When they got there, they have to do some videos so in short they were busy. They probably submitted all the songs that he already knew. According to marcelito in one of his interviews, they submitted a list of songs and AGT will be the one who will be choosing his song because of copyright issues. So in short, they will just inform him the song he is about to sing a few days or a week before the finals. He (marcelito) says that he will only do the best that he can do and leave everything to God.

When Marcelito made his video it was a plea to us all fans to keep him supporting no matter what will happened ... Because he already knew that he won't be able to get the 1st place ...
