Marcelito Pomoy is actually back in the Philippines now. He lives in Manila. He just went to the US to participate in AGT The Champions Season 2 last October. He’s the grand champion of 2011 Philippines got talent. He’s famous in the country and very down to earth. Please check his 2 performances with the show, The Prayer and Time to say goodbye in the semi finals. Actually, tomorrow morning Phil. time is the final to be broadcasted on NBC and the video you’ve just watched is a leak video of his final performance. AGT The Champions is a spin off of the AGT franchise and participants come from different countries either champions and runner ups that’s why Marcelito was invited also to participate. The winner of this show will be the AGT World Champion

Marcelito did The Prayer (Dion/Bocelli) and Time To Say Goodbye (Bocelli/Brightman cover) in the auditions and semis. He was awesome in both soprano and tenor voices. suggest you watch both videos. Simon's comment is actually valid. Coming from those two performances, and getting into the finals, it would be good to "surprise" the audience again, and not use the same formula. Marcelito's fans and supporters were suggesting songs, among them Phantom of the Opera, I Believe in You, and even Perfect .. all of which would have featured at least 3 voices. He also could have done Power of Love (if you close your eyes while playing the video, it will seem like Celine is singing). Alas, he was told he can only sing an AGT approved song. As time is very limited to learn and practise a different song that will be accepted by AGT, Marcelito settled with Beauty and the Beast. Simon did the unpredictable act. He criticized Marcelito for singing the song AGT told him to sing.
