The amazing thing is that he can hardly speak English, but has perfect English diction when he sings. He also sings in French, Italian, Spanish, Chinese with ease. He is such a talent. He had such a sad childhood, but has worked so hard to get where he is and provide a good life for his family in the Fillipines. He always tackles very difficult songs. Hi Sohum......I'm so glad to see you reacting to Marcelito. He is an amazing talent but in order to understand why he sounds so much like Celine you need to read his back story. As a very young boy in the Philippines he was abandoned on the streets. Somehow he was given a tape player and a Celine tape. He listened to it all day every day and learned to sing. He is a VERY good mimic!! I love your reactions and especially Dimash. He has a new one what I don't think you've reacted to. It's called Omir which means life. Marcelito Pomoy had a very hard childhood his parents divorse at his early age and he and his siblings was given to relatives so they can have a better life but he didnt so growing up he did a lot of odd jobs like construction he has no voice training at all and he cant afford it anyways just his meal to survive on one ocassion while he and his co-worker having a drinking session he was ask to sing and they are all surprised to hear his voice so he was encourage to join some competition as they know he has a chance and also told him that that may be his way to see his parents and siblings he love and missed so much so thats what he did but when he sees that there is a bigger stage and bigger purse "Pilipino Got Talent" he hope that this stage will make way of his wish to re-unite his family and he did as the contest progress he becomes popular and slowly some of his siblings comes out that inspired him to win. After winning the contest and got the big price he re-unite his family but greed came in that it seems impossible to make it happen as his mom and his eldest sister wants a bigger chunk of the price money and still dont want to reconsile with his father. Seeing this he becomes disappointed and in the end focus on building his own family which he did. He is a very down to earth person he does not like limelight thats why you will notice with his talent he seems to be unknown because he seldom go on TV as he loves to be still his normal self with family and new found friend in his neighborhood happy for simple things singing in karoeke near their place that who he is. HE was just convince by his wife to join "America's Got Talent" later to prefer for her daughters future. He was a favorite he aced every performance. But with a twist he was kick out of the finals in favor of a dance group and people are disappointed even the judges except Simon, he gave it a chance as his wife wishes and they are not lucky a lot of conspiracy theories but he accepted it and back to his normal life with ocassional invitation when he has time but for him family first as thats what he missed since chldhood. 😔 Do checkout his performance at AGT ( America's Got Talent ) and decide for yourself. Marcelito was born with the ability to sing in soprano, tenor and baritone ranges, so he is not singing falsetto. His amazing vocal range is unique and allows him to mimic any singer. And he does this without ever having had any training! He's completely self-taught.

He's good ha, Mr. Sohum? He's from the Philippines and he's also my Countrymen. I saw him he in Canada first time here in Canada in 2019. I was once a young girl but I never had an Idol 'cause I love to sing myself until now that I'm turning 85th yrs. Old before the end of the year and still singing and a member of a Choir for me singing is the key to Life. Have a great day!
